Heard an awesome live "Shine on you crazy diamond" and a "Mary Janes Last Dance" from a live show in Chicago that I think I might have been at as it was done with Winwood. |

I find the "sports business" defense interesting. Let's assume Spiegel was keeping notes during the game because, well, I have no reason to doubt him. Is part of the sports business leaving a game before the fourth quarter starts? Is that part of established sports business protocol? "Quitting" on a game is the highest mortal sin a player can violate, and coaches are regularly fired when their team quits on a game. Yet Spiegel quit on a ten point game, with Northwestern at the Illinois 30 yard line on first down. This is just another brick in the "Spiegel half-asses his job" wall. He went to a football game with two teams he likely has not seen more than once apiece this season (if even that), kept notes for two and a half quarters, and then he was going to go on the air and drop pearls of college football wisdom upon us? |

I haven't been totally paying attention because "I'm working because I work in a working business" but it seems like the notes he put in his phone consisted of: "There was no total score on the scoreboard and you had to add it up yourself". |

I kinda wish IB had told him who he was, because I think that would have made Spiegal nervous. It was freezing saturday. I nearly had to wear a coat!
