Instead of a daily thread, I'm going to try and capture the thing on a weekly basis. If anyone still doesn't like it, they can still kiss the pastiest part of my ass. It's Tuesday, so it should be Beating Writers around America. Most likely going to the playoff cities. More "uncomfortable fake laughter" will ensue. Probably talking about the Hawks sweeping the season series against Crosscheck's favorite team. Probably some Orange Bowl talk too. |

Whoooo-EEEEE!!! I just spent ~10 minutes soaking in a segment of dichotomy where Mac would speak from the gut about how much of a deutschbank Jim Harbaugh is, then Spiegal would basically reiterate what Mac said in a politically correct sports announcer type way that sounded like it was being read from a script. Is Spiegs going to make it through the whole week, or has the tributasignal been shined in the post-holiday skies? |

Not sure. Currently, the Ironman streak (since I began to half assedly track it) ended at 20 days. Let's see if he can get through the month without a day off. That would match it. |

I did like the college football talk today with Pete Fiutak today, especially when Pete said more of these games should be on New Year's Day. |

Reents, I'm old enough to remember when the Fiesta Bowl, Rose Bowl and Orange Bowl all took place on New Year's Day. NBC Sports had each of these games for many, many years, complete with the late Charlie Jones & Jimmy Cefalo calling the Fiesta, Dick Enberg & Merlin Olsen the Rose and a much younger Don Criqui & Bob Trumpy describing the Orange. Those were the days, long before the crap that is the Bowl Championship Series. The writer from Collegefootballnews.com also mentioned the BCS Championship Game should be tomorrow, not Monday, January 10th. It's absolutely ridiculous the way the schedule is formatted to accommodate ESPN, not to mention some more meaningless bowls leading up to the Oregon/Auburn "National Championship" game in Glendale, AZ Monday night. After tonight's Arkansas/Ohio St. Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, WTF? The next bowl game is the GoDaddy.com Bowl Thursday in Mobile, AL between Middle Tennessee & Miami (OH), followed by the AT&T Cotton Bowl in Arlington, TX Friday night between LSU & Texas A&M. Want more? Saturday's the BBVA Compass Bowl in Birmingham between Kentucky & Pittsburgh and Sunday's the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl at AT&T Park in San Francisco between Nevada & Boston College...Are you kidding me? With the exception of the Cotton Bowl game Friday night on FOX, all of those games will be broadcast on ESPN & ESPN Radio nationally! Gimme a break! |

Marc Hackman from Miami in the Around the NFL segment is a bit. He is the executive producer of the Dan LeBatard show in Miami. He has been on other shows in Cleveland and Nashville. Today on the LeBatard show they will replay his segment over and over again and laugh about it. |

Shark, I think most people remember when all these games were all in one day, but when money gets involved, sometimes it's better not to take so much and keep what you have. Of course, the GoDaddy.com Bowl, BBVA Bowl, and Kraft Macco Bowl should have been played by now, and the Cotton should still be on New Year's Day, but the bowls paid somebody extra to get these later and that wasn't a good idea. |

I think it is apropos how Mac's fans are now too lazy to start a daily thread. Mac's ALS is at their best when they don't give a shit |

That reminds me...Wednesday means Florio (maybe) I think I heard them say Goff was on at noon to talk about Da Boo. Other assorted things will happen. Who knows, maybe even a call from The Brand. |

Blyleven should be in the HOF and it doesn't matter what anybody on this show says. |
