Jay Zawaski contacts guests through twitter, I guess. Whitlock will tell us why evidence doesn't matter and what really counts is manliness.

This interview will be completely invalid unless one of them calls Whitlock out for his over the top Jeff George love.

Jason is hilarious. Conspiracy theorists abound when it comes to Bears medical issues.

It's like "I don't care about an MRI".

And now he was benched because Lovie and Martz realized Cutler didn't have it and was benched.

Crazy talk.

To be fair, Whitlock knows a little bit about supporting guys that don't have the mental makeup to be leaders.

There seem to be two schools of thinking (both bad) when someone gets caught saying something stupid lately.

1.) Say that you didn't really make the statement that you clearly made. (see LeBron James & Maurice Jones-Drew)

2.) Keep going with your stupid statement and completely ignore any new information that has come to light that would make your statement sound even dumber.

Why can't anyone say "I was wrong"?

Not yet. I think after 11.

Post subject:  Re: 1/25: Jason Whitlock Spews Truths

I can understand Whitlock stating he doesn't believe the line of crap the Bears might give, especially as it pertains to medical issues. But in this case it is crazy talk. Anyone that watched the whole season knows how important Cutler was to the team, and how badly the team would play without him. There is no way the team didn't do everything possible to get him in that game.

It is also crazy to suggest that Cutler would take himself out. I have never seen any indication he would quit on a game or his team. I may not like the way his facial expressions make him look sometimes, but he always got back up and got in the huddle (Giants game excluded...See concussed threads for the reason).

Whitlock was looking to write that Hating LeBron isnt racist article for a while.

He was waiting for the first white athlete to be villified

I'm gone for a Month & all hell breaks lose!
The Tribune is reporting that Jay Cutler went out to dinner after the game sunday & he walked a full flight of stairs to get in & out of the restaurant. If his knee hurt to the point that he could not play in the NFC championship game, surely he wouldn't be able to walk a flight of stairs. Plus, who tears his MCL & then goes out to dinner?
I'm starting to suspect that something isn't right here.

It's pretty well known that people with knee injuries are not allowed to eat food until it's healed. This whole thing is a sham

yep, 100% true. There's no way anyone with a grade 2 tear would be walking a flight of stairs and probably wouldnt be going out to dinner either where they would have to sit in a chair or uncomfortable booth. Anyone who really suffered a grade 2 tear would be at home on the couch in serious pain.

This is such an obvious cover up. Kudos to Whitlock for bringing this issue to light.

He never said he didn't care about the MRI, he said he doesn't believe the Bears are telling the truth about the results of the MRI. He said he wouldn't consider the MRI results unless they were read by an unbiased doctor as opposed to just taking the word of the Bears on what the results are.

Its obviously in the Bears best interest for Cutler to have a grade 2 tear yet the only people who get to actually look at the MRi are related to the Bears....yet, none of you are even questioning whether or not the results are being relayed truthfully to the public. Talk about being naiive.
