I often get the feeling that meatpants says things to try and impress Dan Bernstein. Sometimes he argues with him and sometimes he says things he knows Dan would like in order to get approval.

I'm just happy to live in a secure enough time that "flag waving" can be considered over the top or foolish. It's much better than the time periods where everyone finds it acceptable(9/12, major wars, Presidential assassinations).

Its painfully obvious. Sometimes he'll even throw out a "I dont care what the afternoon show guys think..." when he's going against him.


Its clear he's fallen into the Larry trap of running every thought he wants to express through the "Bernstein check system"

I've only been listening for about 45 minutes or so, and I've actually thought it's been pretty good. Sometimes miss a little isn't a bad thing. I'm glad I missed Spiegel's Mariotti-like flip flop. Mmm hmm.

I hope B&B don't spend the whole show berating the stupid. Let it go for once. I don't need the contrarian viewpoint every fucking show.

I have only had this on for a few minutes but seeing that Drinky is the Cubs reporter....has he explained or been asked to explain exactly why the fuck Russell is still being thrown out there to get shelled instead of calling up a starting pitcher?

Ramon Ortiz, not on the 40 man so his contract would have to be purchased and with him being out of options you can not just send him back down without him being designated for assignment and clearing waivers
Thomas Diamond and Robert Coello both have been hit around, but could be easily called up.
Trey McNutt if you add him to the 40 man
Jay Jackson if you add him to the 40 man


Even though there is some paperwork involved this shit with Russell is not acceptable for a professional organization.

Angelo is on his way out soon anyway. Nobody is going to stop dealing with the Bears because of this.

Teams will do what is in their own best interests and if that means dealing with the Bears, they'll deal with the Bears.

Like it or not, front office "integrity" is not worth a 4th round pick.
