Lumped in? No

It's just that we can set our watches by the fact that there will be a Peoria Matt text...unlike a call from The Brand, you're texts aren't awful*

From a recent interview....

Rick: What’s the best and worst thing about this gig?

GRAVY: The worst is that it’s relentless. You can’t fake watching the games, especially in my beloved baseball season. Also, I’m an over-preparer, so I’m always reading, or watching, and taking notes. It’s rare that I watch a game and just take it in. The psychological effect of that, and the intensity of the workday, makes it a bit more taxing than people realize. That said, those complaints are ridiculous, right? I GET TO WATCH GAMES AND TALK ABOUT THEM. I have to, in fact. Gratitude for miles.

The best thing is that I have an outlet for any thoughts I think are interesting. I’m essentially being paid for my ideas, and that has always been my professional goal.

I’ll also say this…and this is more palpable in local radio than in national. The community of people who listen, and interact with us, is a really special, odd place. Peoria Matt, Urblacker, Elmhurst Steve, Johnny Fontane; these listeners feel like friends. That’s awesome.

I’d like only 20 more years or so please.

3 fucking Bill Melton parody songs?

Really?

Baseball, Basketball, Hockey to talk about... and we're doing seriously gayass Melton parodies?

Just awful. Really awful.

It's Spiegs' last day. He's gotta play all the parody songs before he runs out of time.

I'm really starting to HATE these stupid songs.
It was different when Jurk would croak out a song, but this is just awful, they're not clever, they're not funny.
"...and it's getting better all the time".... not a parody song when all you do is change a word or two.

Turned on the radio, heard "We have three parody songs for Melton to play" and PTFB. Thank you to Mac for giving me that idea. Meat is not going anywhere but for the love of God please stop with the parody songs. I like Spiegs but mac has to reel him in a little bit here.

I don't know if Spiegel will be leaving soon, but I am thinking he is looking forward to THursday and the days after, because with all the sports just about over, Spiegel will get too talk more baseball and probably hoping the NFL Lockout cancels the whole season.

When Goff was in a couple of weeks ago, he put that he wouldn't know what to do in September if no NFL.

My point, is that Goff gets it in what people want more than Spiegel. Not trying to start what sport is popular, but just going by the info out there.
