"While negotiations are under way on a renewal, there’s no word on how close both sides are to reaching an agreement. Rod Zimmerman, senior vice president and market manager of CBS Radio Chicago, has been playing hardball in contract talks with other key on-air employees, according to industry sources."

Don't mean to step on your toes, SHARK.

Well this should be good for some entertainment around here.

That's unfortunate.

The most shocking revelation in the Feder article is that Mac is only 47 years old. I thought he was in his late 50s or early 60s. I guess it's just his antiquated pop culture references that give such an impression.

Yeah, I thought he was much older than 47.

Mac is a few years older than 47. I'm not sure if he's 50 yet, but I know he's older than I am.

Mac has mentioned numerous times being in his mothers stomach for the Hawks 1961 Stanley Cup championship.

He turns 50 on August 27th.

The first result for googling McNeil's birthday was a thread started by Linda S. wishing him a happy 47th in 2008

That's probably why Bernstein was off on Monday. It was probably a negotiation session with the evil Zimmerman. He's probably up too. Bernstein, unlike others at the Score, is the type to keep his situation quiet.

One thing is for damn sure: Goff and Larry are being extra nice to Zimmerman this week. They're also probably bad mouthing Mac and Bernstein to him in the process.

Radio is a dirty business ladies and gentlemen.

Doug's source is either Mac or an insider in Mac's camp. Ivan's source is the same guy that told Goff the Bulls' signing of Wade is imminent--that is, Jason Goff.

Goff currently works at the Score

Dougs guy does not.

Hasn't Larry been out (of the station, not the closet) for awhile? Maybe he won't be renewed...

I'll let Ivan tell you who his guy is or isn't, but I think I've hinted enough.

My connection has always been to the guy who's name is on the show, no other "Mac Camp Insider" as you put it.

LoHo just resigned for another 2 years a month or two ago.

That was his $250k/annual contract.

Reckless speculation is also a muddy business.
Goff ripped managment about the part-time host pay scale on May 24. I don't remember any recent on-air bouquets from Goff or Holmes in recent days.
