Texas State Senator Chris Harris is proud of him. He spoke American. |

I like how since the shitty pairing of Mac and Meat was re-upped there has been zero conversation or interest in the show. |

If Mac & Spiegs have been re-upped at The SCORE, I know nothing about it... |

My ears have yet to recover from that garbage. Keep Cowley off the radio, let tweet with his girlfriend Oney and stay away from the airwaves. |

I happened to pick up the Sun Times today and read a bit of the sports section while sitting down at lunch and his whole column was filled with shots at the Cubs and their fans today. It wouldn't even bother me if the shots were funny at all but they come across as pathetic and sad that someone in the media feels the need to associate so much with the team they are covering. Joe Cowley is unprofessional and shouldnt even have a gig on the radio even on WSOX. |

Double Z and Cowley had me missing Mulli and Hanley. Jaysus H Keerist. I didn't think that was possible... |

Makalu G wrote: Awkward and weird. The dude's a terrible listen... Had a feeling this might not go so well. Didn't get a chance to even listen, but from a few posts and texts I got, this was not going to be the colorful segment some were hoping for. Z, while a nice guy is kinda shy and not as outward as his outbursts would lead some to think he is. Next week, overnight The Z and Joe Cain show will premiere |

Who in their right mind would ever think that a radio show with Z would be good? Chalk up another one for Mitch. How long until Z has a regular show on the Score? Z&Z in the mornings! |

Joe Cowley is unprofessional and shouldnt even have a gig on the radio even on WSOX. After I read your post, I originally thought you were just another crybaby Cubs fan whining about your team receiving criticism from the media -- mainly due to your WSOX claim. Then I read Cowley's column -- and I totally agree with you. "They’re fighting the idea that this is no longer their town, dealing with the reality that they’re the second-class citizens following a second-rate team." Is Cowely trying to insinuate that it's now a Sox town. Please! I'm a South Side fan, and even I don't believe that garbage. Monday's record-low attendance for the crosstown series tells me that everyone isn't clamoring for a ticket to U.S. Cellular either. Cowley sounds more like a White Sox fan with an axe to grind than a somewhat-objective outsider giving his two cents on the topic. I still don't believe WSCR is WSOX, but Cowley's Monday column was pretty poor -- in my opinion. |

I still don't believe WSCR is WSOX, but Cowley's Monday column was pretty poor -- in my opinion. Well I still am a crybaby Cubs fan with an axe to grind but that doesn't make Cowley a better writer. He tried this same Sox town thing when he was on the radio to start the year and my biggest problem with it is: a)He provides no evidence beyond the fact that he is making the claim so it must be true and b) who really gives a shit anyway. Some people are going to like the Cubs no matter what and some people are going to like the Sox no matter what and then some people will jump on the bandwagon of the team that is doing better. Its not rocket surgery. I just think that in the 3rd biggest media market in the country it is bush league and a bit pathetic for a beat writer for a team to so completely and totally bury his tongue up the anus of the team he is covering. His "reporting" makes Laurence Holmes covering the Bears look like Mike Royko. |
