I don't remember typing that.
But mac was talking about how you don't have to sing well, you just have to look and act like a rockstar.
I'd put in a picture of him singing with Speegzs while doing the spmack point but you keep deleting that picture. :?
And I am a minor speck on the face of the earth compared to Larry. He is too amazing to be mentioned in the same post as one of us.

Wrong.

Politics or personal feelings about him aside, Eddie Vedder is one of the best rock singers of the last 20 years.

Plenty of great singers don't "technically" have "good" singing voices.

Dylan
Elvis Costello
Greg Dulli
Corgan
Etc.

I would put Fred Durst at the top of this list. It is probably impossible to sound worse than him.

Eddie Vedder sings like he has really bad constipation, which is ironic because he sounds like shit. Vedder is to singing what Mike Quade is to Baseball Managers. At least Quade seems like a decent guy. Eddie is one of the biggest turds on the planet.

I wouldn't really call him a singer. He's kind of a mumbler. But there's really nobody else like him.

Can you read? I said personal feelings about him aside. And what the fuck does Mike Quade have to do with music?

Eddie's style may not be for everybody, but you cannot ignore the talent he has.

Eddie doesn't bother me. I'm not a big Pearl Jam fan but I don't have anything against his voice. Now you want to talk about a terrible singer who sounds like he is trying to take a shit while singing go with Chad Kroger of Nickelback.

I agree. Those guys could all sell it. I assume by Chris you mean Cornell. I'm not a big fan but that guy has a great voice. He'd have to be in any conversation of the last 20 years. Jeff Buckley was a singular voice too.

yep, Cornell....throw Maynard into that mix as well.

I always liked Scott Weiland from STP. I enjoy Vedder quite a bit and would have to
go along with Frank in saying that he is one of the more dynamic frontmen in the past
few decades.

I thought Weiland was supposed to have a phenomenal voice that he didn't really use with STP.
