Miserable Bears Monday.
Our Jim Miller at 10.
Big Doug at 11.
Smug Arkush at Noon.
Other stuff.

Miserable Bears game makes for a giddy Mac.

Why is it that radio in this town is better when the Bears are bad?

Why do callers always qualify their call by stating how long they've been a fan of the team? Say it with me y'all:

Nobody cares!

BernStine treats these callers the proper way.

The Bears could easily lose to any team in the NFL. Just the same, they could easily beat several teams as well. They're the very definition of an "NFL Blob" team.

Case in point: that Vikings game. It would appear that the Vikings are the worst team in the NFL North, but I could see the Bears dropping that one, just as easily as I could see them winning it. I guess that's the essence of mediocrity. You just have no idea what you're gonna see from this team from week to week.

Unlike the Lions, the Bears will smoke the Vikings twice this year.

I will be interested to see how the Lions perform under the bright lights of MNF.

You were a Bears fan at 3 months old?

Commitment. One team. One goal.

Are the Vikings really the worst team, suprisingly they could be 3-0, they have dominated the first half, it's the 2nd half where they fall part, I am pretty sure they have had double digit leads in all 3 games.

"I think we played a pretty good game, ya know? Uhhh, if the defense doesn't give up those 3 big TD's in the 4th quarter and Stenstrom doesn't toss 3 INT's we win this game, uh ya know?

You are correct, Reents. The Vikings have had leads in all 3 of their games, all losses, including spotting a 20-0 halftime lead on the Lions yesterday in their own stadium!

The more I watch him, the more I'm convinced that Vikings' QB Donovan McNabb is absolutely finished. The day is coming where the Laurence Holmes-looking Les Frazier will have to take his chances with someone other than McNabb at QB. That someone is rookie Christian Ponder.

I'll have to Ponder that one.......
