Ok Mac, we get it.

You don't come here because you feel it's too negative. If you dislike negativity, Facebook is the perfect place for you. Everyone there is happy to kiss your ass as much as humanly possible. Quite frankly, your best radio is when you're being negative about the teams in this town. You seem to get complacent and lazy when things are going well. As a long time listener, I haven't heard the firey Dan McNeil that made his name in this town. I've heard more fire out of your partner, especially when you're not there, than I have from you since you've come back to the station.

To me, it feels like you're mailing in 4 hours every day.

As far as "board negativity", as I saw some posts last week, and I've taken time myself to look back in the 07/08 timeframe, this place is a lot tamer than it was at that time. It seems to me that your "board negativity" shots stem from the fact that a couple members of your ass licking society had shots taken at them, and then whined about it.

If you don't want to post here, whatever. Don't use "board negativity" as a reason. Use the fact that you don't want to be exposed to negative criticism, and would rather wear your Harry Teinowitz Rose Colored Glasses while thinking all is well with your show.

That is all.

So wait a minute, you don't want bigfan to immediately lock this thread?

You are the worst poster ever. You are like the Dan McNeil of posters.

As we saw last week, JonnyFontaine had history of negativity himself. I guess negativity is fine, as long as it isn't directed at yourself....

I never thought Dan was that good but I only have the Afternoon Saloon and the current show to go off of. He just seems like a guy who likes to brag a lot but thinks he isnt doing it. I dont need to hear about all the flat screens you have in your house. Some people cant put gas in the car, chill out with that shit.

He also tends to have terrible thoughts about every sport but football and his football thoughts arent that great to begin with.

Mac is funny, a good show driver, can be contraversial in a good way, and his baseball thoughts are ok.

He just needs to lift up his skirt, grab his balls, and start posting here again.

I agree. I'm a Mac fan. I just don't listen to the show very much any more.

+1

I seem to think that Mac worked better with Jurko and Harry as well. Him and Jurko are friends and that helped things I think, and because it was like oil and water (sometimes even more volatile) that's why Harry and Mac were able to work together. Maybe they want to rip eachother's throats out, but it was damn entertaining at times.

Yeah, Mac needs someone to challenge him and love him or hate him Teinowitz did it on a daily basis.

Agreed 100%. Harry did enough to piss him off, and Jurko was the buffer.

I miss the uncomfortable silent pauses between a Harry comment and a Mac reply.

I don't listen much because of the time of day. Can't really pay attention to much of a show from 8am-3pm-ish. By mid-afternoon things are usually slowing down and the radio volume goes up some.

I can hear it now....that show was hilarious.

And Jurko would often jump in irrationally on Mac's side...

I don't listen much because I gots a J-O-B.

This whole conversation is silly. Dan doesn't post because he was told to concentrate on Facebook by his bosses.

No, Mac doesn't post here because he is extremely thin skinned, and lazy too.

I could care less if Mac posts here or not. This is not about that. It is about the fact that he sucks on the air now. He has turned into a meatball. At one point in time he was by far my favorite radio guy, but those days are long gone. I really thought when he came back to the SCORE it was going to be a great show, but it has turned into a train wreck.

I don't really give a damn if Mac posts or not.

What I'm sick of is his bashing of the "negative attitude" when the reality is that he can't handle negative criticism.

RFDC is right...I had high hopes for this show...I have been disappointed in Mac's progress, and pleasantly surprised at how well Spiegel has come along.

100% with this thought. If you dislike him, there are a lot of things that might bother you. Despite his so called bragging, he is about as regular guy as you will find in big time radio. I think he talks a lot about himself to connect with the audience. The guy is genuine and honest with the listeners often sharing personal information or expressing his true thoughts rather than toeing the corporate line.

As I posted in a different thread, I thought he was pretty accurate in his assessment of the happenings on CSFMB.

Well I sure enjoyed him talking about how he didn't really watch the baseball games this weekend and how he didn't really listen to the interview with Ventrua but hey he caught a 20 year old Disney movie a couple times.
Cause we're all so interested in Disney movies. That's why we toon in.

Who really cares? I don't. Personally I can't stand a lot of the BS on this board,...mostly because I don't understand the dynamics / background of it all....and also because it just doesn't fuel my interest. I still really like coming here and taking away from this board what I like, contributing what I want, and ignoring the rest. Negative? Who cares if it is or isn't. Mac is a total pussy if that is his reasoning. I tend to think "hims doesnt want his wittle ego bruised". Whatever! I found out about this site from mac's mention on the air. I'm sure others did as well, so a lot to be said about his past support and promotion of this site. It is nice to see on air people post here. We know for sure that they get material from this site and use it on their shows....so it is nice to feel that they engage with us here as well. What is my point of all this? I really don't know. :drunken:

Spiegel has rippened nicely. It's nice having a true baseball guy in the mix. TB could be that guy, but I am not sure he actually watches sports anymore.
