But moreso, Mac asked him if the Sun Times told him to back off of Twitter and Cowley responded that he's not doing anything these days that he doesn't get paid for. Mac said he wasn't answering the question and Cowley just kept repeating that line, over and over. Mac stayed on him and Cowley kept not answering. It was fun!

Like RPB said, if Rios, Peavy and Dunn play to just thier average, the clubhouse is wonderful. If they weren't playing all star baseball right now Ventura's quiet demeanor would be a liability.

You think Cowley was in on it? If so, Cowley did a great job appearing caught off guard and unprepared to address the issue, not to mention really douchey and stupid. Although maybe that's what Cowley was going for.

The Sox clubhouse has proven it can win with an Ozzie type. It has proven it can win with a Manuel, aka Ventura type. Ultimately, the manager has little to do with what is going on.

Cowley wasn't "in" on anything. As for the tease (Some Guy's complaint)... we were just being real. We weren't sure if we were gonna do the interview. On-air production meetings sometimes make Spiegs squirmy. I love squirmy radio.

I texted Joe a few hours ago to see if we were cool. He just got back to me a few mins ago. We're gonna talk tomorrow.

This was a lame and totally contrived and forced segment. The show was great up until that "totally random" call to Cowley. They totally telegraphed it during the "tease'... Mac: "Oh well, you know, wanna talk to Cowley? I mean, I really don't want to but I can coerced" Meat: "Yeah, I dunno, I guess, we'll see, I mean I don't want it to turn confrontational. You know?" Mac: " Yeah, it might get awkward and stuff but hey, COWLEY IN 25 MINUTES!" Fucking dumb. Mac/Meat you don't need to stir up totally fake angst and fake "tough questions" to get a fake rise outta Cowley. Come on now, you're show doesn't need that need shit.

Mac knew the answer and really just wanted to get it out of him, which wasn't going to happen because obviously The Sun Times didn't even want him bringing it up. He mentioned how ESPN 1000 was the same way when it came to matters like this.

My complaint was with the "tease" and the fact that you actually had Cowley on and gave him airtime. He deserves to be trading BJ's for change on Lower Wacker and not on my radio. I'm fairly certain that, deep down, you agree. Mac, let me break it down: -Cowley sucks. -Your show is good. No need to mix "suck" and "good" because it only makes the "good" "suck". Cowley blows cock and isn't interesting. Please don't have him on your show ever again, he isn't relevant anymore and hasn't been in a while. He needs to stay locked away in the darkness, never to return. Please don't bring him out into the light. But, if a 10 minute segment of you guys taking Cowley "to task" is all I have to complain about when it comes to your show.....you dudes are doin' all right in my book.
