Most White Sox home games look like that.

No thanks.

I had just thought our standing had diminished in recent years - that our line might be behind the Twitter and Facebook standbys. Just the thought gives me flashbacks to trying to get into the China Club in years gone by.

Good to know there is still the possibility of free food and beer for all the hard work I do around here.

I'm supposed to go to a bachelor party that day. Its $65 to golf, $20 to drink and eat after that at a friends house, and then pay-as-you-go at bars at night. This seems like piss poor planning because 1) with most of my friends who golf there is no reason to go to a $65 course, 2) every bachelor party I've been to has had a drink special or wristband for the nite (went to two last year that were drinks, food, and "entertainment" and both were $50), and 3) I can't fathom us drinking and eating over $200 worth of booze and food after we've been out golfing all day long...and THEN going out to the bars. Oh, and there are no strippers. Which really doesn't bother me but goddam if I'm gonna drop $200 for the day it would be nice to see some boobs floppin' around.

Long story short, as much as like to go to the party with my friends, the tailgate at this point looks like a better option

We could get some 1992 looking strippers and have 'em over at my garage bar.

I'll pop in an XFL game on VHS between the Tampa Bay Rage and the Enforcers.

There's this new band called Nirvana that I'd like you guys to check out on the CD player I just got. 8) (I know, the XFL was 2001....I'm a time traveler, don't ya know?)

This is the same day as the ESPN Fantasy Football Convention and draft, so not a chance. 36 million people playing fantasy football, yet the Score does nothing but broadcast a segment on Mac's show once a week. Hard to believe they have not gotten something together as well. I'm sure sponsors like Buffalo Wild wings, Tilted Kilt or Hooters would be happy to jump aboard, if the Score had a Fantasy Football league.

It's because Fantasy Football on the radio is boring, and the convention is nothing more than a Star Trek convention for jocks.

The segment they do on Mac's show for Fantasy Football, is the highest rated segment during the entire week during Football season. So obviously you don't know what you are talking about. Tapping into something as huge as FF has become (36 million participants) with some kinda operation similar to what ESPN does, should have been done years ago. Lets say you are right (for the sake of argument) about the convention being nothing more than a Star Trek convention for Jocks.....those conventions make lots of money. So whomever attends them, they are successful and make loads of money, so it remains an idea worth pursuing. Plus, it would get listeners who are into FF competition, more engaged with the station. Whenever a listener attends a remote or some other station event, it has to be a postive.

I participate in fantasy football and still despise fantasy football on the radio. The two worst sports conversations to get stuck in are someone else's golf game and somone else's fantasy team
