So sick of his stupidity about peppers and the sack figures....Peppers is clearly the best player on the field when the bears are on defense, flying all over the place making tackles 20 yards down field, recovering fumbles, making picks, and providing opportunities for the rest of the bum lineman....frustrating to hear him slam Pep, guy's a beast out there...

I only garner my opinions from John Feinstein's "CBS Minute."

When do they let some of the WSCR guys have a shot at the CBS Minute? That would be a hoot.

Lovie: Julius has done everything we've asked him to do
Mac: Guess they haven't asked him to sack the QB.

That's vintage Mac.

He's a little off on Peppers.

Though he should get SOME sacks.

Mac is late on this.

Scorehead beat him to this idiotic opinion last season.

It's one of many reasons the idea of Mac as any sort of Bears expert is laughable. He's got too much meatball in him, much of which I actually enjoy.

While impressive, having a lineman that can tackle people 20 yards downfield indicates he was blocked and the RB wasn't tackled or QB sacked. Recovering fumbles is largely being right place right time.

Mac isn't being overtly stupid. He might be being a tad too critical, but Peppers is being paid to sack the QB. Given his supposed unreal physical ability, he should be racking them up.

Mac's argument about Peppers' value being directly tied to the number of QB sacks he registers, is among the dumbest ever on those airwaves.

Another gem from this morning....

"Well, Cutler was 1 for 10 in the beginning of the game.....should we be worried?"

I can understand Mac's point. It's not like Carolina had quality defensive-line help for Peppers, and the former UNC player was usually in double digits for sacks.
Still doesn't mean I agree with it.

I like Mac, and I think he's better on the NFL than anyone at the station, but this is getting laughable. Peppers is awesome.

I don't get his Peppers hate. Peppers is just a beast. If he's not the best DE in football he's damn close.

He needs to get sacks like Shea McClellan.

If he plays more like McClellan, I have no doubt Mac will acknowledge the improvement.

I was more critical of the Bears spending so much money on one player, when they had so many needs to address. I was critical Peppers for at times being bad against the run, & for taking plays off. At one point, Carolina decided to take him off the field in obvious running situations.
Having said that, Peppers has been an absolute beast this year. He has been as disruptive a DE as I have ever seen, destroying offensive lineman & blowing up plays. I'm glad that he is on the Bears.
