How did they become partners? Did Mac fall in love with Speegs music and his man boobs? Did they smoke weed together? Is Speegs like the Wilson to Mac's Dr. House?

Why did MAC choose speegs as his partner when he came back to the score?

Great question. Never, I repeat never, listen to this show as it's unlistenable (no, I'm not the guy who listens incessantly and complains...I literally NEVER listen as it's an awful show). In any case, I saw this thread and had to post.

In a shady move, McNeil threatened Spiegel with the picture below -- saying that he would release it if Spiegel didn't leave his lucrative gig on "national sports radio" to join him doing late mornings in Chicago. Needless to say, meatpants agreed and did the unthinkable and left "national" to do Dan's lowly little local show.
