After Pompei doesn't agree with the assessment that a 1-7 finish would end Lovie's reign, Danny chimes in about how this doesn't fall in live with what the afternoon show had said -- a point that Mac didn't agree with during Monday's transition. Nice! Just a few minutes earlier, a collective head shake commenced in the studio as Pompei defended his postive Davis rating from Sunday's game. Pompei said that at least three of the targets were not catchable, when you consider the receiver. |

In the segment before that , Mac also said ( paraphrasing) anyone with any questions about how much power Emery has should wait until 1:05 to ask them because the afternoon show is the authority on that . |

Today Mac was saying something about *hoping* the Bears lose out so that Lovie is gone and that Matt would eventually come around. Matt said something to the effect of "well, if you just keep saying it, it will eventually become the truth and I'll have to shut up".
