We hear so much of him on The SCORE either at 6P weeknights, or whenever he sits in for either Terry Boers or Dan Bernstein. We also hear him constantly mention NBC5, as well as meteorologist Cheryl Scott, whom he works with Saturday & Sunday nights on the newscast with Dick Johnson & Lauren Jiggetts. Hide the women & children...With Mac & Spiegs both away today, guess who's hosting their show between NOW & 1:15P this afternoon? As Bears' HC Lovie Smith would say... "Laurence, Laurence, Laurence..." You've been warned. |

and this seemed like the best opportunity you'd have today to list various hosts on Ch. 5.  Unfortunately, the alternative to Laurence on AM1000 is Jeff Dickerson and Sarah Spain. Sara sounds worse than usual, like she got six cartons of Marlboros for Christmas and already smoked them all. |

Heard Larry talk about that book he wrote, "Blood, Sweat and Chalk*" for about the 15th time and I went click. Went to the Vanilla and Hot Pink AM 100 JD and Spain show. *He really didnt write it, but when he finds something he thinks is cool or unique (twice a year) he talks about it every chance he gets out of his night time cellar. |

there was a great moment just now... a caller gives laurence a jingle ready to troll, coming out of the gate saying "hey larry..." and then going on to ask if he's the same laurence holmes on NBC 5. lol. 'twas a beautiful way to take a shot at "larry" and make fun of his self-aggrandizing ways (see biggie's book thing) of course, the laurence holmes ALS is out in full force so the next caller sought favor with dear leader by tossing in a quick/improv "YEAH I'M DEFINITELY HATING ON THAT LAST CALLER CALLING YOU LARRY" and then blah blah blah... so right b4 the break laurence goes on this little diatribe about how his parents named him laurence for a reason and while many nicknames ARE acceptible, "larry" is unacceptable... if the callers had any balls the next ~5 callers would start off with "hey larry" just to prove a point.... but this is the score which means that the lines are prolly 66-75% laurence holmes ALS. c'est la vie. |
