I still think Larry works OK by himself. He can be entertaining and has some decent opinions on sports. I just can't believe the tidal wave of hate on here for one dude.

he is the rare kind where if he just stuck with protocol and didnt try to entertain he would actually be pretty good. but he keeps trying to be funny, or smart and its just autrocious. even the tone of his voice, you know when hes about to say something he thinks is cool and all you want to do is smash your head through the windsheild before he gets to the punchline.

It really is bad when he is on with Spiegs or Bernstein. It's like they just let him go with his terrible thoughts all by himself. They dont like what he is talking about, but they dont hate it enough to stop him and make him look bad.

can you imagine what hes like to date? girl meets him, hes clean cut and talks about intelligent things. first couple dates go fine. then, on the 3rd date she gets his pants off only to realize he is not black. she tries to play it off but then she actually starts listening to whats coming out of his mouth because she knows she wont get anything from his dick. comic books? fudge brownies? she breaks up with him leaving an apron as a parting gift. he thinks its great, and shes just happy she didnt have to drive all the way to goodwill.

I did hear Spiegel talk about his kid Reuben today also, when the Blackhawks lost like 9 or 10 straight last year, said the streak was broken in New York when the show and the kid went to the game.

Larry asking today if he could marry some NFL Guy's wifes brother (because the wife makes tasty cookies) was great radio. LoHo=The human car crash. You know it's brutal but you just can't help but listen. I still think Larry works OK by himself. He can be entertaining and has some decent opinions on sports. I just can't believe the tidal wave of hate on here for one dude.

I'm going to agree with this, Ike. Your first point is well taken by SomeGuy. I've heard LoHo do solid professional radio on 670theScore. He can do it, but he simply doesn't do it and it isn't like his schtick is endearing or easy on the ears, no, it sucks. If he stuck to doing sports radio and not the "Creepy, I'm Hiding in Your Closet...Super Colossal LoHo Hour" I don't think people would take the joy that they do in kicking him in the sack. It's like one minute I'm nodding my head and my urge to kill is fading....and then he is talking about banging some news anchor, marrying a dude to get cookies, comic books (which I don't really mind) and getting all "LoHo" on us....my urge to slaughter rises and I wake up on my bathroom floor with a knife in my hand and a dead homeless person in my bathtub. Again, I'm not saying he could be God's gift to radio and women if he stuck to doing a by the numbers professional broadcast....but he could be decent addition.

He's fundamentally incapable of even mentioning a female without coming off creepy. I'd actually argue he's at his worst with Bernstein, because for whatever reason, that heightens his instinct to emulate Bernstein, which is even more annoying than his standard schtick.
