I was listening today and no matter the subject,Finfer sounds like a voice of authority. He was covering the NFL,College basketball and it actually sounded like he knew what he was talking about. He brings an energy to any show he is on. Who's with me?

I liked his stuff today as well, Jimmy. He has improved a decent amount since Mac had Goff fired and shipped to Atlanta.

Finferlandia!

I still can't shake the memory of those siberian-outpost type marathon sunday shows in the middle of winter nowhere that he'd do over the last year or two. Radio Siberia is the only way to aptly sum them up.

But hey, people are calling for Mac Jurko and Finfer so who am I to stand in the way of radio progress? GOFF #1 CHICAGO SPORTS RADIO PERSONALITY OF 2020.... LIGHT 'EM UP!

I've been a fan. Please change the thread title to "Ben Finfer Fan Club" before I use the unnecessary "by cracky" joke. Thank you.

He is slightly better than Spiegel, but who isn't?

Why does Mac praise Finfer's father so much? Finji's 33 and he seems stuck on 23 - maybe he needed some manning up in his youth.

Much much better than Larry "Fagbitch" Holmes at any rate.

Without ever asking, I think mac actually likes working with him better. Mac sounds really relaxed when working with Finfer.

I also think finfer would do a great job for the evening show as I think he would create a great teamwork feel, not that you work FOR a guy.

finfer has his shortcomings, he just needs to call guys out a little more and he will be fine.

I will gladly stand on the outside of this fan club and watch the people leave as he gets more and more air time.

Bad.

We have a case of a guy who has been in the radio business in this city for about a decade. If he had talent, he'd have a show. Mac and Bernstein didn't sit on the sidelines for 10 years, toiling in "metal shop" obscurity, making sure "Moby Dick" gets cued up at the end of every show. Finfer is a Kermit-sounding husk of a sports jock. His greatest talent is burying his schnoz tightly into Mac's ass for his entire career.

That's exactly what happened with Mully and Hanley.

I don't know where the the line is for the Ben Finfur Fan Club begins, but I'm not in it. I've listened to his radio work and caught him on Comcast, to me he acts like a arrogant know-it-all.
A little humility, at least until you have a little more name recognition, would not be such a bad thing.

Harsh, but pretty much accurate.

To Finfer's credit, he was smart enough to realize that his only hope was to stick his nose in Mac's ass. It's paid off for him over the last few years. Mac rescued him from ESPN 1000 where producers have no chance to be on-air talent. Mac got him weekend shifts at the Score and made him Spiegel's full time sub.

I also think Mac likes his producers sucking up to him and treating him like a radio God. He loves the adoration. It boosts Mac's ego. So it's a win-win for both parties.

I'm so sorry. What was I thinking ? I'll never make the mistake of giving my opinion again. Is there a minor league message board where I could build up my resume before I waste everyone's time with my useless views. Go ahead Mr. Pasta, the floor is all yours.

I guess we all have to start somewhere. Don't sweat it,your views are just as useless as anybody's on this board.

Like most of WSCR's backbenchers, Finfer is fine in small doses.

Long drive today. Radio on the Score. It was Finfer and Mac's other producer boy (The one with the extreme nasal voice).

Finfer is a dick.

He's pissed and angry over nothingness. He's changed from when he first hit the scene. Once timid, scared and trying to be polite as he intorduced himself to Score listeners. Not anymore.

He's getting "Mackie muscles" now. He's confident, cocky and starting to feel important and "Big Time". He feels secure and emboldened knowing he has Mac's backing. Also a little bit of Bernstein's influence has rubbed off on him. He'll "fuck you" any listener at any time. He's quick with that trigger. Basically looking to do a "Fuck you". But he's not very bright. Just as dumb as the listeners he likes to "Fuck you". Little things during my listen made me aware of this. You just know it when you hear it. Can't really explain it. You had to have heard it.
