Yes.

He left because his voice is going.

Finji is jumping into the co-pilot seat.

Finji is Mac's "Chosen One."

He is getting more and more airtime, improving his performance and his craft. I hope Meat realizes that if he keeps missing days and pulling this crap he will be gone and Finji will get a prime slot next to Mac and Jurko.

I know that it's "in his contract" but there are people ready to take his place.

Dump Meat this summer, roll with Mac and Finji until Jurko's non-compete clause is over and all will be well. They can get by just fine talking baseball without him in a more general and fun way instead of detailed and stat driven. Screw talking about the NBA, the other shows cover it more than enough. Not every show has to cover all the sports.

OK, I'd be on board with that if that is indeed how all this played out.... but then what do you do with Speagol, who is presumably signed to the station for a bit and is then without a show after this move? Bernstein Spiegel and Rozner in the afternoons? That'd be a larger than life booth.

Is he signed to the station for a bit? How long? I thought he was up for renewal this summer?

Oh boy Mac is talking changes at ESPNRadio 1k. Evidently ESPNRadio wants us to have an hour of Colin Cowherd to reinforce the day's national talking points? Wowza.

Preppy and potroast? LOL. Finfer has SCORE PRIDE! I'm recapping radio we're all listening to! WOO LIFE! </ASFB>

It's a duel between Finji and Spiegal over who can have the most uninformed, unsophisticated and naive view of the chicago political landscape.

Maybe I only catch Finji on his bad days but I really consider him to be Jesse Rogers level of stupidity on just about every subject. It's not that I don't like the guy but fuck does he say dumb shit with much resolve.

That's what I've noticed as well. He has supreme confidence in speaking on subjects he knows nothing about. Politics and sports gambling are a couple of those subjects.

He once said you should always bet the OVER in the Pro Bowl cuz you'd always win. Right, Ben. Vegas doesn't know what they're doing. They're just gonna accept losing to the Public every year. You don't think the lines are set knowing a shit load of points are scored in the Pro Bowl.

I'll bet if you looked at the history of the pro bowl it's probably 50/50 on hitting the OVER.

Either Mac or Meat said something about Stone having thoughts on gay marriage. I thought the show was about to get good but they just moved away from the topic.

They went back to it a bit. Mac talked about being surprised Stone was a right-wing guy.

What was the name of that right winged Senator looking for gay sex in a Minnesota airport? Being Republican doesn't mean you're not gay. Saying you hate gays also doesn't mean you're not gay. Cuz I think this Senator was against gay rights if I remember correctly.

Steve Stone's thoughts about gay marriage: You're not coming home to this every night without signing a pre-nup

(btw, you can thank me for not linking you to the 2-page strategically-angled fullblown nude picture that popped up on the google image search)

Meat's voice is kind of like Mark Prior's shoulder.
