I believe Spiegel has 2 months left on his deal. I'll be very disappointed and surprised if he is renewed.

From the things I shouldn't admit to other people department, I remember listening to Limp Bizkit's Nookie when i was like 14-15 on repeat when I was upset over a breakup

That wouldn't be the worst thing.

This is stupid, considering I barely listen to the Score anymore and can't speak to how bad middays may be getting as of late, but I don't want Spiegel to get launched if only because I don't need Dan and Terry cackling about "vanquishing" another radio enemy like they did with North, Murph, and Hampton (but most certainly not Holmes). Their zeal for bashing people once they can't fight back anymore is rather unbecoming.

Idiot Wind would be an appropriate send off for the Candyman.

Were that to come to pass, I look forward to champion of the tread upon Herb Lawrence to storm right into the studio and voice his displeasure at them. Or at least provide them with an email address .

I thought there was a 1981 classic rocker from the Greg Kihn Band called "The Break-Up Song"...

Yes, there was. It was pretty good in and of itself, but I don't think it makes a good breakup song. It's just about a breakup.

I'm standing by "Cut and Run" as the best breakup song. God, it's heartbreaking.

I identified with Pearl Jam's "I'm Still Here" pretty well. Went through a bad break up, eerily I was the same age mentioned in the song. That shit hit home.

Hmmm.....no confirmation nor denial of the "Break Up".....Someone needs to make one of those countdown clocks with Candyman's face on it.

Along those lines, Rik Emmett's "When A Heart Breaks" from his first solo album is a melodramatic soul-crusher.

Blame it all on my roots,
I showed up in boots,
And ruined your black tie affair.

The last one to know,
The last one to show,
I was the last one you tought you'd see there.

And I saw a surprise,
And the fear in his eyes,
When I took his glass of champange,

I toasted you,
Said honey we may be through,
But you'll never hear me complain,

(Chorus)
'Cause I got friends in low places,
Where the Whiskey drowns,
And the Beer chases my blues away,
But I'll be okay,
Now I'm not big on social graces,
Think I'll slip on down to the oasis,
Oh I got friends,
In low places.

I guess I was wrong I just don't belong
but then I've been there before, everything's alright
I'll just say goodnight and I'll show myself to the door
Hey I didn't mean to cause a big scene just give me an
hour and then, I'll be as high as that Ivory Tower that you're livin' in;

Chorus

I guess I was wrong I just don't belong
but then I've been there before, everythings alright
I'll just say goodnight and I'll show myself to the door
Hey I didn't mean to cause a big scene just wait 'til I finish this glass
Then, sweet little lady I'll head back to the bar (haha) and you can kiss my ass

Let me put my Beardown hat on.

Mac just posting in this thread is an implicit confirmation that the Fish and the Gull are divorcing.
