Larry Meat and appearances by Finfer to lead us through the sports worlds crazy ins and outs. Will they prove suitable guides or will they lead us to worship false idols and attract the ire of our Gods? I guess we'll find out, but tread with care for the path before us is a treacherous one. -Sports talk -Baseball: Sox and Cubs -Hawks? -Larry visits NerdVille.....again. -Meat is exasperated constantly and takes possible pot shots at coworkers. -Finfer does is innocuous thing. Although I believe he will shine today with Mac on the run from his bookies and their hired goons. Listen, you will listen and you will like it. |

Someone's voice sounds very weak. Time for a week off. Why is Larry trying to make the cover band set list?? |

Looks like Mac is going to take off until Bears training camp....can't say I blame him. Sounds like Larry's stock is rising while everyone else's at the station drops. Between White Sox baseball, bad B&B, and Macless Meat, there doesn't seem to be much reason to tune in anymore. But over the past couple weeks I did tune in a few times at night and heard Larry, and for some reason he sounded better to me. Maybe it's because everyone else is so bad, or maybe it's because he's actually improving and ditching that horny, teenage boy, comic nerd shtick. Or maybe it's because I only listened twice, but either way I'd rather hear him than Meat. |

His stock is clearly rising and most just don't want to see it that way. Taking off the blinders of hate would help, but most wont do that. It's sad, really... |

I just heard THE BRAND on the other show, and just this morning I read somebody else using "Beerstain" in proper context on the board. Ergo. this show doesn't exist so I'll have to go listen to some crap like stephanie miller or bubba the love sponge. |

As I've said in the recent past....Larry can do solid, professional broadcasting job. I just have a hard time getting around some of his other qualities. I sounded good today with Meat....but it's tough. I think a reason that Larry has a stock that is rising because he has largely stayed out of the shot-taking, fiefdom vs fiefdom stuff. He has his gig, his show, his class, broadcasting and thus doesn't need to fling the mud. Is that wrong? Am I wrong? |

Why do I care if he's a "nerd" or whatever? If I'm entertained, the host is doing their job... |
