They just mentioned that pretty soon the show will be available to be watched on 670thescore.com. Apparently cameras were just installed in the studio and they are doing some test runs this week.

This is pretty interesting and big news if it's just Mac and Spiegs to start. You'd think it would be B&B, but no. Creates more opportunities for revenue and is another way to "listen" to the show.

Why the unnecessary question mark in the title?

They seemed unsure still about the specifics and logistics of it, including when the video stream will be available.

Revenue? I like the guys and even consider myself a fan of sorts but I wouldn't watch them on tv.

Will it be like Mike and Mike?

Or will it just be a studio cam like it was a few years ago?

Boers is not in the studio 3 or 4 days per week. They don't want to televise this.

Solid point by Spada.

But Candyman is not exactly Cal Ripken either.

Who can take a radio show
Sprinkle it in smarm
Cover it in condescension
And a pissy complaint or two?

The Candyman
The Candyman can
The candyman can cause because he mixes it with parody songs
And makes my ears bleed good.

Who can take his dog for a walk
While he has the Hershey squirts
Then shit his pants in public
And confess it on the radio

The Candyman?

The Candyman
The Candyman can
The candyman can cause because he mixes it with parody songs
And makes my ears bleed good.

Matt Spiegel makes
Everything in which he partakes
Just fucking terrible
Talk about your childhood playing tennis
Makes you sound like a huge pen-is

Who can take off tomorrow
Sing with his little band
Name his kid a sandwich
And kiss Mac's ass

The Candyman

Matt Spiegel can

The candyman can cause because he mixes it with parody songs
And makes my ears bleed good.
And my ears bleed good because the Candyman thinks they should.

First of all....why in the hell would anyone want to look at either of these two? Especially the fully screen candyman.

It would be interesting to see just how bad and condescending the body language of the candyman is. I'm sure its 10 times worse than it comes across verbally and thats bad to begin with.

Yeah, not really sure on the timing of this considering we're in the middle of several sports seasons. It's one thing if they started at on opening day for baseball or a week before the NFL season, but this seems like an odd time.

It's also odd if this show itself is going to look different in 2-3 months.

I find it interesting that the Score is so late to the simulcast game. WFAN had Imus on MSNBC for years, Francesa on YES, and now Boomer & Carton on MSG. And in Chicago, Roe & Roeper had a simulcast on that NBC Nonstop subchannel for a while.

B&B would probably have gotten a simulcast by now if Terry were in the studio on a regular basis.

As for just streaming it on the website, I imagine this will go as previous attempts to put a webcam in the studio have gone: they'll try it for a while, fail to promote it well, and then the webcam will break and no one will know how to fix it (or Rod Zimmerman won't authorize them to replace it), and the whole thing will never be spoken of again.

Elmhurst Steve hates anchored putters. That's what bothered him most the Masters yesterday. You're welcome for listening to that so you didn't have to.

Heard that. Unfortunate radio thought right there. May want to put the phone down and think twice before calling in the future.

I remember when 670 The SCORE was located at NBC Tower, they did have an in-studio Web camera high above, but most of the time it was in one spot of the studio. It only moved when Chris Rongey signed off his White Sox Radio Network pregame show. The camera didn't necessarily follow WSCR over to 2 Prudential Plaza.
