It's time to move Dan McNeil to drive time and Boers and Bernstein back where they belong in mid-days. Who's with me?

I'd be all for it if you could return B and B to the way they were the 1st time around on middays.

I thought this was the plan all along.

I would like Bernstien to get moved to mornings solo just to complete his Mike North analagous path at the Score. Who would be the bizarro world equal to Fred Huebner and Ann Maxfield?

W&S is worse than MJH was. Much worse. I miss MJH during B&B commercials and hockey talk.

Why would the station take their #1 rated show, and move it to a meaningless time slot?

I thought the Score's top-rated show was Mully & Hanley?

I don't think so, but even if you are right, the question still stands, why would they move their #2 rated show into a meaningless time slot? There's no money in middays compared to morning or afternoon drive. A station isn't going to fix something that isn't broken.

I think Mac would get even higher ratings than B&B do now.

If anyone in radio thought that was true, he would still be working at ESPN.

You really trust the judgement of the guys running ESPN1000?

1. In their current state, they're not going to stay number 1.
2. Ibid on Mac getting even better ratings in drive time.

I think a return to mid-days would spark a return to the scatological show that used to exist.

Have you paid attention to the ratings in this city the last 20 years?

Mac is a ratings magnet. Whatever station he's on gets the ratings. Not a coincidence.

And he was picked up by the SCORE the second his no compete was up

ESPN canned Mac because of money, not his ratings. Maybe all the suspensions and not bowing to the Mouse contributed. He killed B+B every book. And whatever other pile of shit der Schnore threw in there. The Wiseguys (North and Doug) and Telander and Hood

I don't think that is true. They were always close, and I think he did lose the last couple books he had with ESPN, which led to them making a decision on not bringing him back.

Nope. He destroyed them and his being let go was a financial decsion

Sources say that no specific incident precipitated WMVP’s decision not to pick up the option on the final year of McNeil’s contract, reportedly worth more than $600,000 annually, but the cumulative effect of past run-ins, self-inflicted controversy and suspensions may have played a role.

I thought Mac lost all of the books to B&B following the switch to the new rating system.

He directly attacked ESPN management from Bristol, while they were in town at the station. He was let go the very next day. He did it on purpose and achieved his desired outcome.

They still had to pay off his contract, without the ratings they were getting while he was still there.

You mean the one where results are based on actual listeners, not what someone writes in a book?

Why do all the radio guys who's ratings plummeted always blame PPM?
