They're talking mostly baseball, a dusting of basketball, all set against a backdrop of Classic rock and grilling

Finfer is co-hosting with Mac today. It's amazing how much more relaxed and "natural" the show seems without Spiegel's considerable dead weight bogging things down.

well, now that you mention finfer is in, maybe'll I'll give a listen.

Mac just rolled out his moldy "what topic makes you ptfb" question that he goes to every three weeks or so. Finfer rightly called him out on it.

Some pretty funny innocent teasing of Spiegel about the show pot. Never thought I'd enjoy Derby gambling talk but it was a nice segment.

But you know Candyman is not going to take it as innocent. I get the feeling they'd love to tear into him.

They're talking with Bulls' writer K.C. Johnson, and the first thing Mac brings up...

A parody song for the Tribune Bulls' writer.

It really does sound that way. Meat brings a lot of tension ? I guess for lack of a better word when he's on. I like Mac and Finfer a lot better.

We'll never truly get the answer to this, but oft times that's due to the hosts not really liking each other all that much.

Spiegel sounded different with Rozner on Sundays. It was never the uncomfortable listen that his show with McNeil is. Spiegel and Rozner actually seemed to like each other. For that matter, Spiegel and Goff always sounded comfortable when paired up as well.

I think the tension is due to an imbalance in power rather than them not liking each other.

the tension is because meat is mentally unstable and mac is afraid of setting him off at any time. he's walking on eggshells.

I'm sure having it branded "The Danny Mac Show" in the beginning ate at Speigs and fostered those feelings of inadequacy.

It should still be called "The Danny Mac Show".

Why on earth would candyman deserve any more power?

I think the tension is because Mac wants more of a "man show"...hell even a tim allen vibe to the show and he has found that the candyman is a more of a giant vajay.

Let's just put the cards on the table

Mac hired Spiegs because Mac has an abnormal love affair with parody songs.

I think that's what Mac shows have always been. It's not just sports they talk about. They also talk about "guy things", such as movies & classic rock. That explains why Tribune rock critic Greg Kot, 93XRT's "Regular Guy" & morning man Lin Brehmer are regulars on this program like ProFootballTalk.com/NBC Sports' Mike Florio, Cubs TV PBP Len Kasper & Blackhawks' analysts Steve Konroyd & Eddie Olczyk to name a few.
