Mac was never down on the 'Hawks, ever, he always knew they would win, same with the dudes behind the glass! No one ever wavered, no one ever lost hope and no one ever crashed the bandwagon.

-HAWKS HAWKS HAWKS HAWKS
-NHL
-Looking forward to future match-ups, getting to know the opposing team.
-Verbally abusing the ref that made the bad call.
-A quick ball tickle to the BP Cup.
-Meat tries to talk Pacers v Heat, is slapped around.
-Finfer and Jay have plenty to stay.
-Did Mac fall off the wagon last night?
-Urlacher vs Dick Butka discussion.
-4 hours of NHL TALK.

Will Mac even show up? Is he "under the weather?" Did Meat have a Tributo show last night? Did he become Edgar Winter?

Now nothin' can take you away from me
We've been down that road before
But that's over now
You keep me comin' back for more

I wonder what classic rock songs will be used to open the clips from last nights game?

It's the easiest way to "prove" your long time fandom. Except for the fact that Mac ran away from the Blackhawks when the going got tough.

Mac, I know you're reading this. Just know that the generation 10 years after yours holds up U2 as their Stones/Zepplin so tread lightly

It's neat, I guess, but who really cares about cross sport pollination?

Keep it at a brief mention and let it die. Scottie Pippen has probably watched a half game of hockey in his entire life.

Gotta love Mac touting his "Blue Collar Bonafides" by saying his was with his fellow paycheck to paycheckers in the upper tank.

Good grief, Charlie Brown!

Does Mac understand the concept of on base percentage? He guessed .370 for Alexei last year? Mercy.

Scottie Pippen would show up to a KKK rally if they offered to pay him.

Maybe he isn't a fan of the White Sox?

This may be true, Mac is a football guy, after all.

Oh well, I don't tune in to the show to be lectured, yelled at and pelted with statistics and advanced metrics. I listen to be entertained and brother.....this show hits the spot about 65% of the time.

I think you're correct. Was just a bit shocking; that's not exactly an obscure stat.

They should do Alanis Morissette.

U2 is a great band. They are the Urlacher to the Stones Butkus.

I would rather listen to every U2 song than every Stones song, as so much of it just drips 70s crap but I can recognize that the Stones heights are higher and there is more of them. That tends to happen when you have been around two decades longer.

That makes one of us. As I type this "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" is playing; I have the same face one does when caught in traffic when you're hungry and have to drop a deuce.

I may need to slightly alter my stance on the ol' Mackeyfish. Not much, but just try to not being able to stand him slightly less than Gloop.

Danny Green & Gold, and Danny U2 sucks would normally be enough to make me love that particular host. But not in this case.

Welcome Friend!!

I have a minor quibble with this statement.

The Rolling Stones "highs" were the 4 album spread from 68-72 consisting of Beggars Banquet, Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main St. Stellar albums, no doubt, and worthy of their place among "Best of..." conversations, but I think it's fair to stay that their output after that was spotty at best.

C'mon, Meat, you're gonna give us listeners the run down on why you now like Mac's sport? "His" sport?

Who gives a shit, you're just trying to set up another in a long line of transition confrontations with BernSTINE.

Please stop.

I'll give the last two, but Mac does plenty of lecturing from 9 to 1. Just today he lectured Ed Farmer. in the past, he's "talked" to listeners about proper gym etiquette (swim trunk drainer), traffic rules, when fans should plan their trips to the bathroom, etc.

They never hit home for me. I do find it foolish for anyone to say they're not an all-time band, it's just not my bag .... I perceive way too much hubris - which perhaps is more a by-product of the fandom rather than coming directly from the guys themselves, or perhaps not ... difficult to say.

I don't know off the top of my head if I find any of their songs musically interesting either ... style over substance ... too much of the overtly sacchrine and/or sanctimonious lyrics.

You don't find the work of Brian fucking Eno to be musically interesting?

Thank for the reply

Id think you'd find a few tracks on Achtung Baby interesting

Here is a picture of Canned Heat at Woodstock. I am thinking that Spiegel would have to slim down a bit.
