Post subject:  OFFICIAL 6/5 Mac/Candyman Show Thread: Mac-On, Mac-Off

Mac is off the bandwagon, so is Jay, Candyman can't take a position but tries to sound hockey smart by talking about it.

-Contractually obligated White Sox talk. They are bad, but there may be hope.
-Candyman whines about the show pot that he isn't invested in.
-HAWKS are doomed.
-Candyman sets up an argument or two to go after BernSTINE with during transition. This is a bad idea.
-Candyman says dumb things, is left hanging by a Big Chief MacHawk that could care less.
-Eddie O interview?
-Various movie and movie references.
-The Peanut Gallery gets more airtime, Candyman fails to see the writing on the wall.

BUSTER, BUSTER, BUSTER......where are you? This is when we need you the most. Meat is on the brink, let us push him over.

....Or did Candyman have a Tributo show last night where he only sung 6 songs and is to burnt out to come into work?

Oh MEATPANTS.....it's all right in front of you yet you cannot see......

And when you lose control, you'll reap the harvest you have sown.
And as the fear grows, the bad blood slows and turns to stone.
And it's too late to lose the weight you used to need to throw around.
So have a good drown, as you go down, all alone,
Dragged down by the stone.

Don't forget Florio at 10. I hope he shovels more dirt on PFW.

Did florio start shoveling dirt? I know there was no love loss between the two.

Kind of. He had an article or whatever that put it hard to PFW. Hub had a pretty sharp reply.

"A separate link revealed the cold, hard truth: assets of $143,000, and liabilities of $8.5 million."

"At one point, PFW was an indispensable source of league-wide information and analysis to supplement local newspapers that focused on one team and national newspapers that provided only the most superficial information (but at least they did it in pretty colors). Put simply, times changed and PFW didn’t."

Is this wrong?

He had little snarky quips in other articles.

Hey was doing some definite needling to Hub and he wasn't trying to hide it.

Hub was kind of a bitch to Floria as well, though.

He was a smug dick who faded away into relative obscurity. He was slow to change, slow to compete and completely dismissed one of the biggest changes to the business landscape (The Internet) in history. He got beat, not only by Floria, but by a hundred other guys.

During his last 2 or so years on The Score he played a solid NFL-centric radio host but also a media/show guest that did his best to stay relevant, to make it seem that he was still "in the loop" concerning being an insider in NFL front-office/locker rooms. But he was scooped so many times that it just got sad.

I wish Hub the best of luck in his future endeavors.

Fucking hell, Mac, what's with this fixation on Duncan Keith? You don't want to watch him play tomorrow night? You're embarrassed?

Move along, there is an actual GAME to talk about and dissect.

Could you please move on to topics that will make Candyman have conniption fits and shatter his psyche?

Keep up with the digs at Mitch.

Beardown, where are you!?

SHARK, how could you have totally missed the Mitch to WGN rumors?

I don't know the first fucking thing about hockey, but if I bend down to pick up my glove and some asshole whacks my hand with a stick, dude is going to get a stick upside the head. WTF kind of sport is this?

Did the blind hockey advocate pick the Hawks to sweep the Kings? How else to explain the over-serving of whine this morning. I can't tell you why the Kings play better at home, but they do. They came out sharp the first 35 minutes of the game and the Hawks were lucky to not get blasted off the ice. That said, the Blackhawks played the final 15 minutes with the intensity that fans are accustomed to.

This has become extremely bi-polar radio and a hard listen this morning. I have to keep adjusting the volume because there is a lot that can be talked about but the whining about a 2-1 loss (3rd goal empty net) is excessive.

Then again, I guess whine is the preferred beverage in the first class section of a bandwagon.

The Kings home record was basically the same as the Hawks road record in the regular season. Shouldn't matter, right?

It's the whining and the fixation on Duncan Keith, it's like Mac didn't see the whole thing happen and why, no context there. After the last Red Wings v Blackhawks article he's trying to hard to not sound like a homer. Whining about Duncan Keith and such isn't going to accomplish that.

At least we have an interview coming up with a guy who is really keen on hockey. Maybe he can shed some light.

Loved the dig by Jay about Candyman with Google Glass...."It would be great for you, Matt, you could tweet and walk...."

The Kings have not lost a home playoff game. Further, they have not lost a home game in 2 1/2 months. Yes, it matters. But as long as the Hawks win at home (the Kings have not been a good road team), it's okay. I do hope the Hawks can give the Kings their first home loss tomorrow night though, as a 5 game series sounds a lot better to me.
