I'm sure he was unaware of what he was saying while tweeting. It wasn't intentionally racist. Still, didn't Jeff Dickerson get suspended for a comment made about Dusty. Something like "Cubs fans are gonna want to hang Dusty from the foul pole." Something like that. But the Score is different than ESPN 1000. Mitch lets his people say dumb and racist stuff. |

Wow, far be it from me to defend Gravy, but is that really a problem? So were eliminating the term slave/slavery in all its forms? Its used quite a bit in a lot of different ways. That seems a little much. Pretty sure I heard it used to describe a trader's dependence on charts yesterday. That didnt seem offensive. |

Matt is over the top about ensuring that listeners know how enlightened and evolved he is where race relations are concerned. He would NEVER make a racist remark. He used a figure of speech in making a remark about using a closer in a situation where perhaps he wasn't really needed. I am sure he meant nothing by it and probably feels terrible that anyone might have been offended by it. This was a ridiculous thread. |

The thread was sort of a joke, until he deleted it giving it some credibility. But to your point, I don't listen to Pants anymore so I wouldn't know about his racial credibility. I would guess a lot of people on Twitter don't either (including Gonzales). As I said initially, it was likely he meant absolutely no ill will. Doesn't mean it isn't a poor choice of words. He agreed with me when he deleted it. Thread makes sense. |
