I heard LoHo (when did this Leary thing happen) say "The McNeil & Spiegel Show" tossing it to break today, so don't abandon ship too early.

In a nutshell, I am really hoping that Mac comes back.

It was "appointment listening" as he'd say. Leary and Spiegs is just kind of a show I can stand when I'm in the car. I'll flip back and forth to the most interesting topic or discussion. No loyalty either way, really.

What's the latest out of Mac's camp? How's he doing? Planning a return soon? Is Zimmerman getting in the way of that? Somebody said he's saying stuff on facebook.

By the way, what the hell happens to the show pot during this time? Mac take money away or are his producers still placing bets? Be nice if they can pull that sucker up for him for when he returns. But they don't know how to play football so I wouldn't count on that.

That was just Elmhurst Steve with a funny on his wall that you or somebody saw......Star Poster! (in fairness, it was mildly clever)

But nah, I didn't see anything on fb, I think all we can really do is wait and see and wish him well.

theres not much reason to. the few moments where speigel will have an interesting thought that actually gets on air isnt worth waiting for. i wish that guy would just go rogue on us, hes smart enough to be a star host but he will always be a lapdog because he wants to secure as much money as he can for his famiwey.

holmes just sucks. for a sports talk station anyway. he would be great on seaseme street or something. or maybe like a saturday morning sports special for kids... being a grown adult and trying to listen to him is SYITFER. stab yourself in the fucking ears radio.

He's "Mr. Rodgers" talking to a male demo of 25-55 year olds. It's just not what you want if your a PD or GM of a sports radio station. I don't know how he pulls off this fake act all the time. Would drive me crazy to be phony for 4 hours a day. I also don't get why he feels he has to act this way. And it is fake. No way anybody behaves that way in real life. The real Larry is the one that blows off Big Fan's extended hand and leans back in his chair. That ain't the sweet Larry we hear on the radio.

I'm off the ship until Mac returns. Or someone else capable is brought in.

This ship has sailed. Anyone considered Les in the afternoons? Nahhh he's too good at night. How about J Hood in the afternoons?

Les's brand of weirdness requires overnights, and overnight listeners require Les.

That's one reason why it's so uncomfortable to listen to him sniper-ogling random women in the Chicago media on the air.

Is this something that actually happened?

Link?

Yes, WHERE YA BEEN

but would not have changed the fact he is bad at his job.

The part that is cut off in that story is that Rongey, a guy I ripped before I met him and after I met, had no problem with it. We laughed about it and have been all good since. And I still rip Rongey, but at least Rongey can speak!!!!!!!!!!!!

He hates to be called "Larry," but he can't pronounce vowels correctly, so in his voice it would come out "Leary." From there, his attention paid to females turned it into "Leery."
