Only fools believe him. in defense of mac.... what's the giant conspiracy that he's hiding here? if you call him a worthless addict/junkie/etc who's fucking up a cakewalk job that's pretty much what he's copping to, although he seemed to summarily sweep the whole pharmie-heroin under the rug in favor of blaming the far-more-socially-acceptable weed as the crux of all of his problems. dan's average casual/listener is far more likely to be from a generation where casual to ritual weed smoking was a big/ger factor during their golden years, so as such it's easier to get "forgiveness" for falling off the wagon because of that damn weed as opposed to chasing the dragon and racking up all of the taboos that come from that. but really.... short of ppl being pissed that a talk/radio "talent" (quotes for the haters) is being afforded more leniency than they would in their non-cult-of-personality jobs, i really don't get why people like SID are all pissed that dan's "lying to us" --- what's the beef? where's the lie? why are we fools? what's the animus here? is it another artie lange situation where dan likely faked his "recovery" and, GASP, he's still smoking weed and getting away with it? *** DUH DUH DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH dramatic squirrel style interlude soundtrack *** it seems to me that most of the haters are jealous that "a no-talent junkie hack" can decide to not roll out of bed for under 300k meanwhile they're NOT smoking weed / doing-pharmie-heroin / living-the-life because if they did their $60k/year empire would come crumbling down? i think it's that to be honest.... and if the worst case scenario is true and dan mcneil has fooled everyone so now he's cackling as he drives home to go and smoke a fatty each day after work.... who gives a fuck? on drugs? off drugs? it matters naught: just put on a better show than low-hoe and durr speagol and you're good in my book, MickNeal. |
