Its the only way

Its amazing that these clones arent self aware but when called on it here or on other social media, they brush it off as the lunacy of a sports radio listener that lives in his mom's basement (Even though, its likely 9 times out of 10 the person calling them out has a better job and makes more money)

If it's truly "bothersome" to you, Mac, then say something. That's what you do right? Dangerous Dan? Never afraid of a confrontation or uncomfortable radio?

You wouldnt even be calling ONE guy out because there are at least 5 of them at the station.

Its Bernstein's station now Mac. You are the only one who can stop it.

The problem is Mac may be right but it might be hard for them to take him seriously after last years extended time away from the show.

I strongly disagree. Mac's legacy as a sportstalker is cemented regardless of his recent issues.

Even the clones respect Mac.

If you are not taking a guy, who has pretty much Decided the radio wars for 15 years, seriously, then you're really not bright.

But, they absolutely couldnt resist responding "No, Im not" or "Just because I agree with him sometimes"

Either way, the responses will be golden

Well even taking his legacy into consideration, from my perspective just as a matter of honesty I don't know how I'd respond to critiques from a guy who allegedly is not sure he really likes and respects his job in the first place. I don't know why Mac gets credit for admitting on occasion is that he's bored with the station and would much rather do something other than watching baseball, bulls, etc. Seems very incongruous for sports radio listeners to be cool with that. I'm not going to pat a pilot on the back for saying he hates flying. I'm going to tell him to fly the damn plane.

If the guy is a veteran pilot who has been the best in his field for years and he has advice for you as a young pilot, you should listen.

Regardless, it will be entertaining. I hope they DONT take his words to heart. That would be better.

It almost sounds as if you prefer the clones to Mac. Which is cool, some guys are all sports.

He's just been cashing checks since he came back to The Score, and one could argue he was just doing the same during the last part of his run at ESPN. He doesn't give a shit.

One would get crushed in an argument that he was cashing checks at ESPN

Even still, the clone thing is faaaaaaaar worse.

RPB, I like my Animal house comparison theme much better.

I like Star wars and happy to watch it for the 132nd time next time it is on TNT, but going too deep into Star Wars just gets too nerdy...

Now, if you want to talk Corvette Summer! THATS A MOVIE!

Why would a young guy in the radio business want to emulate the biggest jagoff at the station? I don't get it. Why would anyone want to be like the guy that everyone in the office dislikes?

Well, Spiral Stairs took it from the Youre our only hope.

PCU works too

Mac is Jeremy Piven (he was awesome in that)

Bernstein is David Spade

Meat is Gutter

And PCU works even better because its about a group trying to hold down the Animal House as the Bernsteins of the world try to eradicate it.]

What member of balls and shaft is Larry?
Who is the impressionable Dave?
Gutter can be Terry...he is just there an in a haze.
Is Mitch the Dean?

Drinky and Laurence are both good candidates for BD (The collage work guy)

Gutter cant be Terry. Terry is on the Balls and Shaft side

Terry and Les are the guys at the end who fired the dean (Mitch)

The black guy with dreads is Jurko

No need to call anyone out. Just reassert. Big dog eats first and there has never been a time where B and B has beaten a Dan Mc Neil show. The followers will follow.

I haven't probably done a good job of clarifying what I mean. I don't mean to speak for the clones , and I'm not necessarily a fan of them and not of Mac. I'm sort of a paradox in that I accept all the board's criticisms of Bernstein, and have contributed to some myself, but I will listen to his show first when there's enough going on that interests me. I will tune in to Mac as well.

My issue with the infatuation with Mac is that it turns logic upside down. Why should a host who has occasionally admitted he's not into this or that sport be adored for admitting so when his job is nevertheless to engage those very sports irrespective of his personal feelings? That's why I brought up the pilot example. I don't care if you don't like flying, it's your damn job, so do it. I think he's guilty of leveraging his likeability to obscure the fact that he's a slacker when it comes to everything outside of the Blackhawks and a few other sports or hobbies. In what other profession can you openly sneer at some of the duties of your job and win support and admiration for doing so?

I'm sure there's a lot to admire about Mac, just not much between 9-1 these days.
