BIG thumbs down to D. McNeil and B. Finfer for their interview this morning with Mike Tyson.

I had heard M. Tyson on from 8:30 - 9:00 with Angie Taylor and Brotha Fred on KissFM (103.5). M. Tyson was much more enthusiastic during their time with him. You could say M. Tyson might be getting sick of doing the round of interviews, but it is up to the hosts to bring out the best in their guests, and the boys on 670 failed to do so. Perhaps B. Finfer was too busy looking forward to his next gig on Comcast's "SportsTalk Live" gab-fest.

Also, the interview on 670 was only about 15 minutes and was a full half hour on KissFM. It's a shame an interview with a legendary sports figure was done better on the FM side of the dial.

I would have to agree. Now they are talking about all the shit they didn't ask him after he's gone.
Mac way too fixated on the drugs, and Finfer asking him stupid shit about Zimmerman vs DMX. Amateur hour. Or amateur 15 mins in this case.

Well, some other dude just called and said it was the greatest interview in Score history. So, you can't argue with that.

 I thought it was ok. I would have liked another 10 minutes but still a pretty good pull to have in studio.

BigFan, can you please merge threads like these that are started by attention whores & mults into the existing daily show thread? viewtopic.php?f=128&t=84960

That's not my thread, but I've posted in that thread.

IMHO it makes the board easier to read when something that happens on a particular day's show in discussed in the thread that has already been created for that day's show.

It is pretty tough to juggle 2 threads.

It is. I have to actually get a little work done at some point during the day.

I would have but spent the morning at the SS office just trying to get a replacement card, and now I need to go into a 2 hour detox tank before I do anything else.

Finfer kinda blew it. Kept going back to the same shit and he just didnt get Tyson when he said 'That is me"

If you watched his special, he would talk about good stuff he does, but always added the bad stuff on his own, you just didnt need to ask him if he is 'happy" or "grateful"

And actually, if i was finfer I would have been a little scared when Tyson kept telling me "That scary guy is still here".....

They could have asked him about the rape. I know its a touchy subject, but he would have talked about.

I heard the interview with Tyson by Mac and Finfer and enjoyed it, though I agree that the emphasis on drugs was greater than I would have preferred. The Zimmerman question was stupid too, as Tyson was clear that he is interested in promoting only top fighters and to think he would be interested in the DMX/Zimmerman farce was silly. I got to hear the Carmen/Jurko's interview with him later in the day and as much as I prefer Mac to anyone else on local radio, I liked the ESPN interview more. Tyson seemed more engaged and enthusiastic in the interview and the questions were better.

While I thought Mac engaged Tyson very well with the addiction discussion, I agree with Steve that the ESPN interview was better.
