Post subject:  Ask Finfer & Ask Finfer POST GAME

One last time in the Mac section. You're a Jedi now. Like your Mackie before you. One day Big Fan will give you your own section. That's when you will really know you made it. Nothing like being insulted in your own section.

-What position are you taking at THE GAME?

-How did this go down for you? Did it happen quickly? Seems like it.

-Did Mac help you get hired since he's friends with the management over there?

-Any truth to the rumor that Mac sent you over there with the intention of being your partner come June?

Oh, by the way, congratulations.

I would think that Finji would want to come here and do a little self promotion.

Come on Beardown, I was hoping you'd be more provocative.

Are you annoyed that there was no upward mobility at the Score? If so, do you blame Mac for that? Did this influence your decision to leave WSCR?

Were you disappointed when Meatpants signed a new contract?

Did you enjoy working for Laurence? What did you think about his potentially getting the mid-day spot permanently?

Was Laurence disappointed when Mac came back?

What did you think of the Matt Bowen analyzes tape on the radio segment?

Who are the people that you are NOT going to miss?

-How long was the hug between you and Mac today? The board set the O/U at 2:30. I took the OVER.

-We also had it at -200 that you said "Fuck You" to Spiegel on your way out. +200 for those that took "No". Did you?

-Do you now expect a full on attack from Laurence Holmes now that you are no longer at the Score? That's what he does when people leave the SCORE. Acts like a friend when you are there. Attacks the second you leave.

Could see Laurence going either way on this

I hope Finfer is the subject of another tale of one of his near fights. It was this close to being on.

Good point. We might have to wait until June, and then hear about the time Laurence was so infuriated he was about to take both of them on at once.

Did you secretly work for the Webio? That could be all 4 sports "radio stations" you'll have worked for.

Mac dumped Goff as Spiegel's sub for Finfer. Let's not forget, he dumped Larry as well. No way that sat well with Larry. Larry hates both of them.

True, Larry is scared of Mac so maybe Finfer will be safe until Mac leaves. Cuz if Mac gets word of a Finfer attack, then Mac goes after Larry. Larry will wait for Mac to leave. Then Larry will be the bold guy and give it to both of them!!!! Right, Larry?

Larry: That's right!!!!

Yep, just like he did with Tommy Williams. Let me tell you something right now. If Larry ever came face to face with Big Pahdnuh in an elevator, he'd drop a load in his pants.

Everybody at the Score resented him from the moment he got there cuz he was Mac's boy. Didn't take a genius to figure this would happen. He got there and Mac got him a lot of air time. These are Score boys. They're petulant, petty, hateful, insecure, jealous brats. Of course nobody over there will congratulate him.

But guys bring in their own guys in every business. I've done it & I have worked for guys who have done it. I would suggest to the rest of the bench warmers at the Score to follow the same philosophy that has has helped many a person...don't leave on bad terms with anyone & stay in touch with former co-workers, employees & management. Someday it will help you.
These young guys are making a huge mistake if they think following or acting like Berns is the right way to go.

As someone who grew up in the suburbs but now lives in the city which do you prefer?

For apples - apples comparison please assume your job would be in the suburbs if you lived in the suburbs.

Unbelievable as it is there are quite a few firms that exist in the suburbs.

Post subject:  Re: Ask Finfer

the burbs works for me if I had kids I guess. They would take up all my time and I wouldn't have to worry about space in the park to hit fly balls.

Other than that, cant go back. I dont even like going back to visit and leaving at night is creepy. Everything is silent, quiet, DEAD.

My Burb guys always say "Hey guess who I saw at dinner?" Thats because there is like 3 places to eat that will allow them to bring their snot nose kids there.

To be fair, I saw a huge difference between my friends kids who live in the city v the burbs.

Of course. Most people know how the game works. Finfer knew early on he needed to befriend Mac. Look how it worked out.

The brat bench boys at the Score, mostly Bernstein's guys, are always looking to say "Fuck You" to somebody. Always looking to get off a good zinger. Be it to guys at the station or anybody else in media. B&B can do that. They don't need friends in the biz. They don't need help.

The producers at THE SCORE need help. They need to learn to play nice with others.

So when drinky fucks around with Spiegel and Mac, it might feel good. Might be fun. But that's 2 people that won't think of him if they need a partner one day. Won't even think of him if they need a producer. Sometimes you have to go along to get along. Especially if you're a subordinate. Gotta bite your tongue sometimes even if somebody above you takes a shot at you.

Like I said, don't you think the people at THE GAME have heard drinky on the B&B show. It's always a try out. Because he acts like a fool, they didn't even consider him.

This has nothing to do with knowing the radio biz. It's how it is in every work place. Nobody likes a stupid jack ass. Especially if you're not that talented.

But what do I know? Drinky probably still thinks his "Fuck You" attitude is how he's gonna make it.
