Not sure who is filling in today while Mac takes his "Vacation Victory Lap" but I'm sure it will be a show of sorts.

What a condescending asshole. That comment had me changing the station.
I like Rozner. He's a great sports talk guy. No doubt. But for Speigs to pull that kind of shit on him when he's giving free publicity to his friend talking music on a sports show while managing to tell us over and over about what a neato musician he himself is... just wow.

I like Speigs. I get why others find him condescending. I guess I appreciate his love of sports and baseball in particular. Since he seems to be treating Rozner poorly, I like him even more. Rozner is a preachy self centered SOB know it all.

Is a singer really a "musician"? If you play an instrument or something that's what I call a musician. I don't know that I'd call a singer a musician. He's a singer.
Now I know as well as anyone that it takes tremendous talent to sing. And I will gleefully concede that Meat is a talented singer, not great mind you but the man-ish does have some talent. But until you play something I'm not ready to call you a musician. Hell Jim Cornelison calls himself a 'soloist" not a musician.

DS, maybe I can help you with that since I have zero musical talents. It seems to me that most musically inclined people that I know are good at multiple instruments and have some level of singing talent. They seem to go hand in hand.

I know several guys that play the guitar and sing. I often see cover bands where the band members take turns leading the song and the others step back and play instruments. I am sure there are folks that can only sing and others that can only play instruments, but most seem to be able to do both.

No, I am working downtown in a remote office today, so I don't have my radio. Again, if he attacks Rozner I love it. Rozner is someone you think you like until you get a certain amount of his thoughts. I guarantee if he did a full time radio gig, most of you cats would hate him after a year. He is good only in small doses.

And I am not questioning his contacts or sports knowledge. It is usually his delivery and weak sense of humor that get me. I can't fault someone for having a different opinion than me, but when you tell me I'm an idiot for having an opinion, well then I have an issue with that.
