Anyone else remember Coast's old avatar with the bucket of KFC running for a touchdown? We need a Ramblin Grimace mult with that avatar except Grimace instead of the KFC. One of you photoshop experts needs to make that happen |

you know guys, i'm sure we all pretty much know that durr speagol reads the board, probably a bit more so than the average radio host. there's no way that he doesn't. and i know there's a touch of that jilted ex-lover thing cuz he tried posting here and then had a stroke of brilliance and realized the inherent futility/pyrrhic-victory that would be defending his honor here, you know, like my twitter background says:  so that said, now that mac has officially christened the whole "grimace" nickname (which it doesn't take a MENSA candidate to figure out he nicked from here) it's been grimacepalooza since friday, and while some of the original content is indeed veritably ripped from the pages of sensible chuckle magazine.... still man, you know, this is why people in the biz don't post here. you know that spiegel would love to devote a few minutes a day telling all of the haters here to fuck off, however he'd look like a relative-idiot for doing so, and you know radio godfather danny-bee would look down at him for mucking around with the "great unwashed" aka "the pantsless cretins" on their level. and now that mac has provided the proverbial lidlifter for grimacepalooza.... good god man, this very well could get really ugly, i mean with the show ending and mac likely jumping stations and all of the repressed spiegel disdain coming to the surface here.... you know, if spiegel gets shitcanned from the station we could have an OG-style-meltdown once he procures his next gig.... and in truth holy shit do we (as i do consider myself a part of the community, albeit a very fringey one) deserve it. either that or spiegel will just continue to mult as whoever he is on here, doing his best to avoid the mac+spiegel threads but he'll let a couple lines of !!! slip at some point. |

I'm Grimaced out. It's not even funny anymore. Total overkill. And that twitter guy is a total Bernstein parrot. Dan has given the blessing to the account so the guy went full retard and has been tweeting like a 12 year old teenage girl since Friday. Spiegel looking like Grimace is the least offensive thing about the guy. The fact that he is a pissy, petty, preening penis is being overlooked. |

durr speagol needs to make a serious album (of his own original music) called "grimaced out" the cover has to be a picture of him looking really pissed off at you all like "you wanna call me grimace? listen to this and we'll talk about grimace" i cant find a picture of spiegel with anything but a weird "smile for the picture" smile so we'll have to use this as the stand in for the cover of the "grimaced out" LP

btw the other thing really working against spiegel here is the innate euphony of the word "grimace." literally saying "grimace" brings a little cheeky/wry grin to your face before you hit the "sssssss" sound at the end, as the word just flows off of your tongue with a cadence usually reserved for properly-enunciated british-accent words, which appeals to the suppressed anglophile in all of us. plus since you lot don't like the guy, shit, you know it's gotta bug him that he's compared to a fat shapeless purple lug so there's that aspect of it, but really i think there's something to be said for the euphony of "grimace" because it's so powerful you've prolly never noticed that the word "grimace" is technically "grim ace" which, you know, hearkens thoughts of chris sale's long-term future with that funky delivery/mechanics thing he's got going on. |
