1. Spiegel likes him so it will make the show easier to do. Can't be drinky. Spiegel despises drinky and thinks drinky is an idiot. Drinky despises Spiegel because Spiegel despises him. Sure, they can fake it and pretend to like one an other when drinky subs every now and then. That's cuz Spiegel knows it's only temporary and drinky knows he's trying out so he's on his best behavior. But if they were full time partners, it would get ugly, awkward and bad.

Spiegel: That's a dumb point, drinky. In fact, not only is it dumb, it doesn't make sense. Nobody with a working brain would ever say something that.

Drinky: Oh yeah, well...YOU'RE FAT

Spiegel: What? What are we? 5 years old?

Drinky: Fatso!!!! Fatso!!!! Fatso!!!!

(It would be like that a lot.)

2. The most important reason: Bernstein likes Rozner. And he pretty much runs the station. Mitch wants to please Bernstein. I think that's why Rozner subs on every show on the station. It's because Mitch knows he's Bernstein's favorite.

The most important thing is Cubs SYNERGY and Rozner has shown himself to be all to happy to create it at the station.
