This was the prefect opportunity to give Matty a hosting job and they passed him up for a guy who literally just came off the Bears. It's not the first time they've pulled chit like this either. If I were him, I'd jump ship. |

It was a bad decision to hire Mannelly. It was a good decision not to hire drinky. |

He's a dumbass and has proven it over and over again when he has been on the air. He should pursue another career, because radio stations aren't going to hire this assbag. |

If the station that he' been at for 13 years thinks he sucks, why would another station want him? THE GAME hired Finfer and Connor over drinky. And drinky has been on the seen longer than those guys. Christ, nobody in Chicago wants Goff either. Bernstein's soldiers are considered toxic outside of the Score. It's a fact. So, yeah, he can jump ship, but nobody is throwing him a life boat. |

I think he should leave for sure. Don't care where he goes. Just go. |

Matty is a good guy & he knows where he stands at The Score. He knows that he wont land a prime time on air gig, & maybe he's ok with that? |

I don't understand the hate for drinky. He seems like a nice guy who occasionally gets himself off track a little |

It is like the video from Zoolander. Except it is Bernsie telling you to call people stupid. |

I think his hosting window has closed. He's what, in his early 40s? I could see him rising up the ranks behind the scenes. Next PD after Mitch is gone? Make it happen Rod. |

Goff earned a special place in my heart when he ripped Bernsie for buying expired meat. I'd welcome him back with open arms if he could rib Mitch and Zim for doing the same. |

Drinky has no discernible ability, skills or valuable experience. He will be Bernstein's cabana boy until he's collecting Social Security. |

You hope he doesn't collect Social Security? You're saying you hope he dies soon? Is that a threat? YES or NO ?!? |

I was tempted to create a new thread 'Should Beardown leave the board?' but I don't want to become what I hate. |

He should stay. Short term: Spiegs is still going to take days off after Tributo and that will give Drinky airtime. Bernstein is going on vacation next week, and Drinky will be on with Boers. There are holidays coming up where people are going to take off, so he will be the fill-in. He's doing weekends now. Long term: The Score has gone to jocks/personalities before with a less than stellar history, which suggests that after the novelty of a new Bears season turns into a floundering existence, someone with some radio chops will be needed/welcome to keep the show interesting. While I don't think he and Bernstein can tolerate each other enough to do successful radio, the Terry Boers experience will one day come to a close, and then the shuffling of chairs will begin. Working for CBS means he may move on to another local station in a greater capacity, or move somewhere else in corporate. While there seems to be a great deal of animus towards him (kind of a sub-theme on this board) I can tolerate him, I just want him to be himself. If he wants to be enough of an assbag sooner or later he will get caught up in that mess, and then he'll either sink or swim. |

drinky is a solid. Bernstein tainted him as his old frat boy persona was good stuff. Away from Bernstein he is a fine alright listen. If Hanley can be on the air so can drinky He expanded his role by taking on H&R and is a willingly fill-ins. Bitchtits will continue his coverband career enabling drink to fill-in and then permanently take that spot. |
