I just turned this on because I was tired of music. I am sure there will be a lot of Adrian Peterson talk.
I think they will be piping in the Vikings presser at 11. College football chatter. Maybe some Cubs talk
after a nice pitching performance last night? Any Hawkey talk with training camp around the corner?
That might be a stretch with no Mac. Judging by the fact there was no show thread yesterday and
the overall vitriol for anything Chunky this show may be slowly dying on the vine. I will have to say
that while Robbie Gould doesn't bring much on Monday's I did enjoy Mike Brown the last few weeks.
Not mind blowing but he knows what he is talking about at least. Just like rooting for the Brewers to
make the playoffs I will torture myself and tune in today.

Brady Quinn on talking college and pro football. I had no idea he was doing TV. He actually can speak pretty
well.

He's certainly better at talking football than playing it.

 Touche

It was also nice of Spiegs to twist the knife when asking if Quinn whether or not his old WR buddy
Shark made the right choice having a longer career playing baseball with free agency and possible $100
million dollar contract looming.

Oh it is Spiegs birthday today as well.

What a douchbag question by Speigs! Did he expect Quinn to answer "Yea I think he would have better off making less money, have a shorter career and have his body abused like a crash test dummy" that's the question to ask BEFORE he has success in his baseball career. Dumbass.
Ugh was going to have Chunky soup for lunch, but now I just can't stomach it!

Not surprised at Quinn's oration. Most of these guys that went to academic schools come off well spoken in the media.

Might as well as Quinn what it feels like to have your life peak at age 22. He could have responded by asking Spiegs how does it feel to have your weight peak virtually every day.

Snapper is hanging in there with the hockey talk. Is he a fan or did he just bone up on Hawks issues
going into training camp?

He admitted being a fan and doing home work. He bought in a graphic of the rink with Hawks depth chart hand written in with questions for Lazarus. Nice. I'm having difficulty disliking Mannelly. I think he is doing a pretty good job. Spiegel asked where he got the graphic? Mannelly replied; Google.

When is the target date for when Mannelly looks around and wonders "why am I the only guy at this station that gives a crap about doing actual work?" and starts mailing it in?

Don't forget "Treasured Transition"... that's 15 extra minutes.

I have to give him credit he hasn't been nearly as awkward and "jocky" as I expected. Nice to have him
come in prepared and admit he doesn't know it all but willing to soak it all in and ask questions maybe some
of the novice guys listening might ask. I'd love to play some golf with him, I have heard he is a pretty
decent player.

When will Bernstein try and destroy him to keep his place at the top?

I've tried to find a way to like Spiegs but the prolific "I'm a dick" questions he poses have made it near impossible. Mannelly at least puts in the effort, can form a thought and elucidate, and at the same time have fun with it all. But the buffoon sitting next to him would rather treat him like a second banana as opposed to a former pro athlete (14 years) who has a lot of insight into the NFL and life as a pro athlete.

Being a second banana to grimace is actually pretty prestigious considering the guy probably has no less than 8 bananas in a single sitting.

I still can't believe he asked that to Jack O'Callahan. Typical Grimace.

I'd feel pretty good about being the second banana knowing I wouldn't be eaten.

That's actually pretty refreshing to hear.

He is probably the hardest working host on that station.

He's this generation's Sean Salisbury. Hopefully without the pics.

One doesn't get to that enormous size by eating bananas. Banana splits, maybe.
