Spiegel is telling a story about his recent vacation with his wife and son. After a day of activities, his wife and son went to take a nap and he went down to the bar for a drink. He wound up getting falling down, passed out drunk and had to go to urgent care the next morning because he hurt himself when he fell down and passed out. He seemed to think this was funny, as if he were out with his buddies and not doing this while his wife and son are up in a hotel room, presumably waiting for him after they got up from their nap. WHY would you tell that story on the air and think it's funny? |

Seems like this could be a dilemma for some here. Dude hurts himself in a really stupid way, but wife/child are involved so you can't really enjoy his mishap... |

It's okay because he felt bad about it. What an idiot. Then he jokes about the Danny Mac and Mark Grote Score Rehab suite. Completely oblivious to how much of a problem he has. Then he reasons that maybe just not drinking on the first night of a vacation will solve things. |

Well, if his family was going up for a nap, this was probably the middle of the afternoon. That's a little early, even for me, to get fall-down drunk. I'd wait until at least after 10pm - especially on vacation. |

I will assume my guy was at Timber Ridge, the Waterpark, as his kid is too young for the Wilderness park. Then it now depends on whether or not he stayed in the Grand Geneva or the Timber Ridge facility itself. To be that hammerred at the Timber Ridge bar is like being drunk in the middle of a ChuckEcheese! If you are staying at the Grand, at least its a real bar there! As a long time veteran of both facilities and I have never had the responsibility of taking my kid to the place, but have been there with kids, taking my responsibility level below his, but still having the display some responsibility, I could never see me spending enough time at any of the bars on either premise to not be able to walk and end up smashed into something. |

I vaguely remember some story in Arizona (spring training maybe) at some resort complex type thing where Speigs drank so much so much they had to drive him in a golf cart from the bar to his room. |
