He hit the progressive at the poker table. I am not sure why he got 10k and the guy that won the hand with the four jacks to make the progressive got 5k?

Poker. Four of a kind hit, which meant the entire table won the $20,000 rolling jackpot, $10,000 of which went to our favorite radio host. Not really sure why he won half, considering he lost the hand. That part confused me.

Because it is a bad beat jackpot.

So it was two jackpots? The four jack progressive and the bad beat?

Good for Spiegel. It's such a thrill to win big. Almost as good as sex (I'll save you the effort. CSFMB: How would you know, Beardown? ) I've never won that big, though. $1,200 slot was my biggest win.

When I hit it big in Vegas, I gave the dealer $100, then played 5 hands for them on the BONUS circle for $50, They hit one 10-1 play so got them another $500.

The way Spiegs told the story, sure seems like they did put the pressure on him to tip out....'And this was your dealer..." ...."and did your meet your drink girl?"

but the difference is , who cares if you get VIP treatment at a boat?

I like Goff, but a show with Meatpants will never ever get big ratings.

I like both guys, but the show really lacks content...its basically the 2 of them recounting what they did over the weekend, what Jason did in Atlanta etc.

There is potential, but someone needs to steer that ship.

The guy to be between them is spinning records.

Agree, but he doesnt want to steer the ship and I dont blame him. He wanted and earned the Terry type gig. Too bad all the others didnt see it. Now we get "What did you do last night?"

Since they are both active on Twitter, you can find out exactly what they did last night.

Good payoff of the story I waited a show and a half to hear. Well done Speigs, I am sure you are close to breaking evennow!

A few years back, I played in a holdem tournament at Fitzgerald's in Vegas. When another guy and I were the last two standing, with comparable chip stacks, he asked if I wanted to chop, so we did. My half was $850, and I gave the dealers $50.

The personal stories are fine if it's something like winning 10k at a poker tourney. That's a cool story. Not Larry's fascinating story of ordering and then eating a pizza. Or Goff's fascinating story of his broken dishwasher. I know they have to kill 4 or 5 hours. But they should actually try to think of stuff to do. They just come in and wing it.

From what you guys have said, Goff killed the pre show meetings that Mac and Mannelly used to do with Spiegel because he doesn't want to show up earlier than 8:55

You can like them all you want but from what I've heard neither have ever been good hosts. I thought Goff and drinky showed promise about 5 or so years ago. I don't know what happened. Spiegel has always been terrible. I don't know why you like him either. He sounds like a whiny douche.

What happened is Spiegel. He's the guy who makes everyone around him bad. No one sounds good with Meatpants because he's fucking terrible. The only reason he is on the Score is Mac. Mac is gone. Get rid of Grimace.
Mitch is really bad at directing programming.

Maybe they need to take a page out of the Danny Mac playbook and have a short and structured program meeting before the show. One of Mac's strengths was his storytelling ability that made what he did listenable. It seems this show has no structure and thus sometimes they shoot their wad in the first half hour and other times it seems their telling of an event drags on and on.

"Whiny douche" may be a bit harsh, Spaulding. But when it comes to detecting the amount of estrogen in a man I'll leave that to you. It certainly is evident. Goff needs to be more succinct and specific for me to listen. Combined they make it impossible to listen for 4 hours but maybe that's the intent. I certainly can't keep them on in the car and struggle to keep them on as background.

That was probably 3 years ago and you still remember it.

That's how great that story was.

It was memorable because nobody in the history of the world has ever described something so simple with such passion and made it sound really, really important. He even did pregnant pauses to build the drama of the story.

That and it's also been referenced here enough the past couple of years so you can't forget it.
