Not that I really care, but who made Goff captain of this show? It's clear that Grimace has taken a back-seat to Goff. Why isn't Mitch doing something about it?

There is no chemistry between the announcers on this show. I'd rather listen to Murph solo and talk about the Cubs for three hours, even though I'm a Sox fan.

Keep telling yourself that. You care enough to listen. You care enough to post.

Did you listen to the show when Spiegs had all the guest hosts? That would be your answer; he's terrible.

He doesn't care for his ears, he said he would rather listen to Murph.

I care enough about the Score having some talent in the mid-day slot. But that's not happening.

But he and Mannelly were ok together. They gave a lot of good football info.

How long before this bad experiment with Goff ends? It can't possibly go an entire year.

I didn't care enough to get to that part of his post.

They only had decent football talk because they had a 15 year NFL vet in the studio. Spiegel and Mannelly wasn't a complete dumpster fire because Pat, while dull, is a likeable guy but the show itself was still a directionless mess. The Score is seriously lacking in likeable personalities.

Why couldn't Mitch have thought of putting Rozner with Spiegel mid-days? At least Rozner has half a brain and wants to be a full-time Score host anyway.

He was interviewed and didn't get the job. And let's see, another worn out old white guy vs. a younger diverse hire. You're bad at trolling.

But Rozner is good enough to fill in for Boers in the prime-time slot afternoons? So good that he can put Bernstein in his place by making fun of him, where Bernstein cannot outwit him?

Worn out? There is nothing about his broadcasting that suggests what you say is true. On the contrary, Rozner's quite articulate.

Because he wants people to listen to the station during mid-days.

The problem as I see it is that Goff spends more time laughing than talking which in turn causes Spiegl to laugh instead of talk.

Don't you suppose that Mitch did put Goff in the driver's seat?

Now that's wit and why I love you guys.

Rozner might have answered this question the same way as you, Councilman, but not Goff. And that's the difference between good broadcasting and just average.

I don't think it was Goff's intent to dominate this show. He just can't help himself. Goff is the male version of a yenta. He's a rambling, long-winded, nonsensical talker. He'll talk over you, through you, around you and shout you down if needed. I don't even think he's trying to be rude. It's just his nature. He's not even aware of it.

Not sure if the show would be as enjoyable if Spiegel ran it, though. It is what it is.

Spiegel couldn't run a newsstand let alone a radio show. Goff is fine.

speaking of, i've been steadfast in my resolve to get tributasaurus to play a gig as trouble funk. it might not kill in the presale tickets department, but hey i'd wanna have a beer with the people who thumb through the reader and go "whoa there's a trouble funk tribute band next wednesday? i'm there"

Every time I go through the Reader and see a concert I want to go to, it already happened.
