it is really pretty simple....WGN had options. What they did was fuck up. People were not in peril anymore or any less because of what WGN did. |

WGN pays Skilling big money and I am pretty sure they have some info that like 50% of their viewers tune in because of Skiliing...and initially I understood that...but it got weird after the warnings, they just didnt have anything to talk about...and yet, didnt go back to the game...thought Suppelsa was going to show us his kids pictures! |

They let one phone call on the air to talk about this "Very Important Issue" I am just guessing Spiegs saw this one going off the tracks and roped everyone back in on this one....OH wait...MY SOURCES tell me Spiegs stepped in as the Senior guy and used the media term that this is STOOPID...and get back to a show. |

I like Skilling and what he brings to the "weather table". I do. If possible....WGN...should have moved the game to another outlet, or cut-in-and out of live coverage....or split screen the entire time. They chose to cut away from the game completely for a significant period of time. That is a fuck up. Again...this is 2015, ..other stations had it covered, weather apps were working,...people were informed. I value a life over a baseball game....and no one is saying otherwise. |

Like I said yesterday, I don't know why they didn't keep the split screen on WGN and have it on full screen on CLTV with sound. Seems pretty simple to me. Because we've had tornado warnings before when WGN had a Cubs game and they never did anything like this. They put the radar in a small box with a scroll telling you of the warning. |
