Spiegel let his hangover win today. Goff rolling solo. WSCR too cheap to pay for a sub. Gonna see where this goes.

Right? I can see why Mitch gives these guys so much slack. It's like coal-mining. Giggling and clapping for 4 whole hours?! I don't know how they do it 70% of working days.

Can I ask do we know if just maybe he had a sick kid, or does he no longer get any benefit of doubt?

Well, when you miss as much as he does, sure, any given day missed may be valid, but taken as a whole it's just no way there's any legitimate excuse for it. Of course, it's the employer's fault for giving these guys like 100 sick/vacation days per year.

Speigs hasn't tweeted in nearly 24 hours so that's interesting.

I'd guess Spiegel took it extra hard that Bernstein didn't like his 'ball radius' drop during transition yesterday.

Spiegel: "I've heard of 'catch radius', but ball radius?"
Goff:
Bernstein: "...well I think we know what he meant"
Goff:
Spiegel:
Goff:

I think Balradius was the first name of one of the Bears' late-round picks this year.

If the sub is of Rozner quality, then solo or silence is better. Man, did Barry do the I told you so/you don't understand crap all morning. "And if you thought the Sox had a chance at the wild card, then you didn't watch the first three months of the season.". Thanks Barry, they are 3.5 games out.

I especially dislike solo shows. Unless the host takes callers or guests the entire show, the conceit of people essentially talking to themselves (in the process of doing a show) is exposed. It's just uncomfortable. I listen for interaction.

What are you trying to insinuate? That he's in the hospital or in jail? Stay on this developing story, Spmack.

   @ sick sandwich .

This show is brutal , been listening the last 45 minutes ..motormouth Giggles is worse solo than when paired with jiggles .

I am loving that Larry got no call 2 times in a row..I'm thinking Meatpants calls in day of absense to throw Goff a bone.

Not insinuating anything, just pointing out.

Let's see if Giggles asks one of his 2 paragraph questions to Maddon. You'd think he be kinda tired of babbling for 2 and a half hours

That benefit of doubt was long gone after he criticized the NBA for giving its players too many games off between playoff games. This coming from the guy who needs two days off after becoming a white Pointer Sister for two hours in Berwyn.

And I am assuming these are days his boss and he have negotiated, is that correct?

I would assume the NBA is told by the TV executives when they basically want the games played.

Anybody remember a couple of weeks ago when Maddon asked Goff what was so funny?

Giggles couldn't stop himself and Maddon called him out.

I can't remember what it was about but Snickers & Giggles were doing their "thing" and it seemed to rub Maddon the wrong way...

I'm currently drinking on vacation with the children.

Got an Uber golf cart lined up for later to get me to the villa.
