Goff has spent the last half-hour or so giving it to the haturrrrz on Twitter, and I've gotta say: I'm impressed.

He was the first to break the story about how LeBron James was good at basketball.

That's gotta count for something, right?

Jason Goff was the first to realize that LeBron James is good.

Terry Boers insists that he was the first person to realize, after seeing Jordan practicing with the Bulls, how great he could be.

We are so blessed to have these great evaluators of talent among us.

That's got to be one of the best Terry beliefs of all time, though legend has it, Bobby Knight told anyone and everyone to draft Jordan number 1 that year.

Arguably the best olympic team of all time. Pre-Pro players that is. There were guys cut from that squad that were future hall of famers.

Today Goff mentioned seeing his female neighbor on his balcony the night before. Speigs asked if she was hot. Goff made some jokes to make it quite clear she wasn't. Hope she wasn't listening.

Goff doesn't realize that many of us don't give a s**t about twitter.
Goff represents all "brothers" and reminds us of that constantly.
Goff laughs at everything.

Brothers don't live in Park Ridge. Can't be too close to Mike North.

John Thompson in '88 was the wrong guy to put together a roster and coach a team for international competition;where shooting/execution/efficiency trump pressure defense.

Course, if Thompson doesn't fuck up the '88 Olympics, the Dream Team doesn't happen in '92. And basketball would have been worse off today as a result. So good job by Thompson to screw up and lose to the USSR in '88. Basketball worldwide is better thanks to Thompson's incompetence.

Quote:
Thompson had built his team on defense, a coaching philosophy that has earned him a national title at Georgetown and made the Hoyas a perennial power. To make his point, he chose Stacey Augmon of Nevada-Las Vegas, a defensive specialist, as his 12th player.

What Thompson probably needed was a scorer such as Mark Macon of Temple, Steve Kerr of Arizona, Stacey King of Oklahoma, Sherman Douglas of Syracuse or Danny Ferry of Duke, all of whom could have filled that need but were cut during various stages of the Olympic trials.

Hersey Hawkins was the only player of that type on the team Thompson assembled, and he was so preoccupied with Thompson's defensive demands that he was removed from one game because he would not shoot. No Sixth Man

It killed a lot of things. It's kinda useful for some things, but it's generally been malignant.
