So, this whole Kane + Julie DeFucko+ BernSTINE+ MeatPants debacle got me thinkin'....thinkin' that we need to have some wisdom from Mac to guide us through this latest trek through Meat vs Danny BernSTINE... Mac, if you haven't listened directly, please do...although you might pat yourself on the back for leaving with your head(s) held high and Zubbaz unstained...it still might make you throw up. So here goes: If it wasn't before it should be obvious now that BernSTINE runs the station, runs it's editorial slant, it's content and it's thoughts and he can have people fired for not goosestepping along with him. If there were any doubts harbored those were washed away in a typhoon of beta-male, weak kneed milquetoast vanilla nothingness of MeatPants today. Meat went HARD at BernSTINE to begin....it was a slam dunk, easy target, broad side of a barn and he was correct 100%. Then GOFF ran away, told him to STOP and NOT TO GO THERE, he wouldn't back him up and just hung him out to dry. It was like he knew BERNSTINE was listening or something and had his hand on the button. Then, magically and mysteriously, Meat all of a sudden hits the brakes and takes the next exit and tries to, pathetically, make it like he was TOTALLY talking about the audience and how they are really annoying when they dare to questions BernSTINES thoughts on things and that it's crazy that they (listeners) could think he runs the station....has it gotten that bad? If so, when did it all start to shift and was that one of the prime reasons for you leaving? So, Mac, what the fuck, in you opinion, happened to trigger the sudden change to his attack? I mean, he was completely correct..so what gives? Mac, are people that terrified of BernSTINE that they just throw themselves in front of elephants to escape his wrath? Could he have had Meat fired for going on the offensive? Did Meat get a call from the C-Suite Twins Rod and Co. and got told to shut it down or risk getting the boot? Also, what the hell happened to GOFF? He turned out to be a real bitch in this whole thing, does BernSTINE call his shots too? Any Thoughts? Hello, is this thing on? |

My understanding is Mac was in the midst of a long and productive call with Matt about this issue until he abruptly left the call mid-conversation and failed to return. |

The reason bernstein is thought of to run the station is because the others dont want to run the station. Maybe the last 2 pepsi search had Bernstein as part of it. When it comes to ripping others that work with him, Bernstein does it....so he makes enemies and he is scared they would come back. Yes, he is a on a level above a producer, which then results in guys kissing up to him to get air time. So, he does have more influence that some of the other on air people, but he does so because others dont want that issue. I have said it a few times, nothing will happy as long as Terry is around. His 3 words per 20 minutes are funnier than 2 days of Solo bernstein. |

BernSTINE is a classic Beta-Male that uses the station as his escape where he can play Alpha-Male and be Mr Tough Guy...is his front that effective? As for Matt MeatPants....he was given a talking a too, either by GOFF during a break or by someone higher up which is crazy (if true) because it would have been great radio. Friday was the first time in months that I actually turned the show on to see what was going on, I was actually interested. Like you I turned it off and it won't be going back on. At least Meat now knows (beyond a shadow of a doubt) that GOFF is a pussy ass Beta-Twink and has totally lost his way. This is why I'm interested in hearing Mac's take on it, he was his partner, he knew GOFF and the BernSTINE dynamic....went toe to toe with Terry and BernSTINE on several occasions but lost the fire down the line. Can't say I blame him. Pathetic. |
