I wouldn't take too many days off if I were you. This Hub and Pompei combo is a good listen. Hub is less of a tool than either Giggles or Grimace |

I maintain that a noon-2 "Bears Lunch" show would have made great sense for the Score, certainly more sense than dragging out the corpse of the Mac show 9-1 and an unconscionable five hours a day of Boers and Bernstein. I'd call it "Hub and Company," but putting "Hub" and "company" together feels like a jinx. |

Hub is viewed by some as "negative" regarding the Bears when in reality he is just realistic, especially compared to the other jock sniffing Bears "reporters." He's also confident enough to take BernStine to task. The other night, Hub was saying he thought it'd be a good idea to have a developmental program for NFL refs comprised of players who don't make it in the NFL. Danny replied that he thought it was a great idea but that he didn't want refs who had CTE (which is a ridiculously stupid comment from someone who claims to "care" so much about head trauma.) Without missing a beat, Hub said "well, I certainly don't want to make light of that issue." You could tell Bernstein was embarrassed, and he backtracked by trying to say he was serious (right). The Score needs more people like Hub who keep it real. The smarminess is definitely there, but that's probably a characteristic that is necessary if you want someone with actual opinions. |

About a month ago Hub said that there isn't one person who can consistently make money betting football. There are few people as bad as Hub at making picks. |
