I cant stand the constant giggling and typically WEAK-WEAK-WEAK attempts at humor. looks like AM1000 and Kap keep one "mid-day" listener for another year. Me! |

Good for Goff. He bothers me much less than others. BTW, Leary buried a story that I had not heard or read while on the radio yesterday evening. He said Terry is signed for another year as well. |

This show is insufferable. Like I said before, there's a whole lot of laughing going on, but nothing funny is actually being said. |

I dont hate the show by any means, but it could be so much better.....this should be evidenced by a 1 year itself. Getting a 1 year deal when you have a radio show, really isnt a good thing. Of course it could be worse, but 1 year doesnt say much. |

I guess the equivalent is how these hosts always say a coach cannot have any respect or work on a one year hot seat contract. |

How much you think Goffer is pulling down? He makes reference to his nice crib, his affinity for good scotch and nice(ish) cigars, as well has his new car and flashy crib, so what's the deal? Is he in debt up to his eyeballs, just hoping a Boers-esque deal gets thrown his way, or can he actually afford all the stuff he alludes to? |

Not "river north" money, I don't think, but still not too shabby. Do the console replacements come out of his salary, or does Mitch see that as a cost of doing business? |

Not a fan of the show. I like to hear sports talk, not misc BS and all the laughing. Carmen and Jurko a much better listen as is Kap. |

I don't really have a problem with Goff. Ideally, he would be a nice 6PM and weekend host. Unfortunately, at the Score currently, he's probably the best on-air host they have. Which just sucks. |

In my opinion, the Carmen & Jurko Show is so boring that it makes a mediocre show like Spiegel & Goff seem better in comparison. |

My sources say 120k Like I've said, I've heard Goff say he can't wait until pay day. "I go right away and pay my bills. Gots to pay the "light bill" and the "crib rent", playa". Or something like that. So if a single guy with no wife and kids is desperate for his pay day to pay bills, with a salary of 120k per year, then he's spending well beyond his means. So I doubt he's making 120k. |

So if a single guy with no wife and kids is desperate for his pay day to pay bills, with a salary of 120k per year, then he's spending well beyond his means. So I doubt he's making 120k. Well, I assumed that 120K is his salary, not his take-home. If he's salaried at 120K per, unless the math on this take-home calculator is off, he's actually netting around $80K a year before refunds come back (if any). So, if he wants to live in/near downtown, any decent-sized apartment is going to run 2500-3500 a month (the upper-edge of that range buys an apartment with enough space for his many bashes and grilling, of course). Throw in utilities ($250?), internet/TV ($225) (highest-grade TV, too, so he can watch teh sportzz), and he's already at $3000-$4000 a month, or $36K-$48K. Even at ~$40K minus rent and minor living expenses, I can see someone blowing through a majority of that just to try to pay for food, car, insurance, entertainment, etc., downtown. He might get some more back than you would expect, given that some of his living expenses are also "business expenses", but if CBS over-withholds as a safety? He could easily get fucked, despite the big number listed on his contract. |

Well, yeah, of course, it's possible to live pay check to pay check at 120k a year if it's like you describe (Yes, I'm aware that your salary is taxed and isn't you're take home. Thanks for explaining that to me ). I don't know how Goff lives. All I'm saying is, if you're single with no kids and making 120k a year (even after taxes), shame on you for living pay check to pay check. That's stupid. |
