There hasn't been an officially dated show thread in over 2 weeks. Is anyone listening, or is it like Silvy and Waddle where people are listening but it's rare for anything particularly interesting to happen so nobody starts a show thread to say "Did you hear ________ say ________?"

Goff has gotten so narcissistic, every other minutes it's a story about his life, or what he does, his crew, or girls wanting him, yada yada

giggling, console pounding, and poorly told life stories.... sensitive baby who whines at anything that can remotely be perceived as a slight, that's what you've been missing

I picked up the other day that Goff likes older women. So that's a thing.

On the days where my commute to work lasts past 9am, I've been listening to LeBatard's ESPN radio program on XM, unless they are talking about the NBA on that show.

Who is in Goff's crew? Lawrence?

They didn't like the whole Adam LaRoche story and the focus on the kid. But then we keeping hearing dumb stories about these guys' boring personal lives. So let me get this straight- you don't like the focus on someone else's personal life and kid, but then you make us endure meaningless details about your day to day activities. The more I think about it, Julie fits in perfect with many of the shows on the station. I've also grown tired of their endless defenses of all things LeBron and D Rose, legit or not.

I switched over to ESPN. I usually do at noon anyway.

I posted this before in another S&G thread... it's probably going on 2 months since I've listened.

They seriously put me in a bad mood so I stopped tuning in cold turkey.

I kept hoping it would get better but it sounds like the opposite has happened.

After M&H, the only time I will listen is when Cub's games are broadcast

Tell me about it. Everyone one of your life stories is infinitely more interesting than the pathetic stuff these guys spit out. I don't mind hosts talking about their personal lives, but at least make it funny or odd.

There's the white guy he takes to brothers' pick-up basketball, and the brother he takes to white guy pick-up basketball. Then the light-skinned brother who he dismisses with "I'm good", so not really part of the crew.

The constant cackling and console-pounding is a tough listen. I tune in for a couple minutes here and there, but I have no desire to listen on a regular basis.

Its not terrible, come on.

But it could be so much better. That chemistry just isnt there and thus, the show never takes off. Still not blaming one person.

Its like all those projects in your house that you bought all the materials for with full intentions of doing something, but never got around to it.

I like both hosts. But the show is off the rails too often. They rarely have anything interesting to say. I leave it on after M&H but can't flip fast enough to ESPN at noon.

They say good things but so rarely it sucks. They take the two buddies just chatting about sports and shit way too far.

Time for a partner swap. (Not a shot at PittMike).

Rozner with Spiegs and Jason with Dan.

Absolutely correct. That would be the proper pairing if you're gonna keep Spiegel and Goff at the station. Unlike Jason, Rozner gets along with Spiegel. Spiegel actually likes Rozner where he doesn't like Goff. Right or wrong, Goff thinks Spiegel is a racist. That's why he gets so offended at every little dig Spiegel gives him. Because he thinks it's coming from a place of racism. Only explanation I can come to with that weird dynamic. And we all know Goff absolutely worships Bernstein. Which is weird because Bernstein is absolutely a racist. But Goff doesn't think so for some reason. The laughing at nothing would also stop if Goff went back to Bernstein.

I think Goff is trying hard, but I question if being a better host is one of the things he's really trying hard to do.

Goof Goff is a fucking moron. His constant race talk is so phony, and he's just plain DULL, with no real knowledge
about anything.

Goff talks out of his ass. I mean any subject you throw at him - sports or otherwise - he immediately has a long winded answer with authority. Could be the Hawks power play or Global warming. Gives no thought. Won't ever admit that he's not well versed on an issue. He just talks.

The problem with the SCORE is the bosses don't give these guys any constructive criticism. And if Goff hears any criticism from listeners he won't even consider it. Just mocks the person by assuming he has a Chicago accent and pretty much indicates that the person is most likely racist. So that's Goff's shield. Not a very healthy way to be.

The best of speech is that characterized by brevity and sagacity.

Goff fails constantly on the first and miserably on the second.

It's started out bad and it's gotten worse. I catch a chunk of it most days on my lunch break.

1. No chemistry.

2. These two really don't like each other and they make it known. I think Goff thinks Spiegel is racist.

3. Goff is a sensitive crybaby that can't even take a little ball busting from Spiegel.

4. They just wing it. No segment planning unless they have a guest. But Goff always interrupts the guests or he answers the questions that he asks to the guest before the guest can talk. If no guest, they just say the first thing that comes to their little brains once they come back from break.

Matty fatty was Danny Macs hand picked dude. Has not worked well. I can take Spiegs in very small doses but his act wears thin quickly. Goff was better when he was a guy behind the mic. Easy to see why the Atlanta thing fell apart and it was not free salsa. Bad radio.

Post subject:  Re: 3/23: Left for Dead

That's the thing. Most radio stations aren't like the SCORE. In fact, I would venture to say none are like the SCORE.

The weirdness and deplorable behavior of SCORE hosts is allowed by a weak SCORE management. This isn't the way every other radio station operates. So, no, Goff wasn't fired for "Salsa". It was just the reason they used to get Goff out for being a scumbag.
