Congrats to the guys who bet Cloud Computing. I don't consider that a shocking result at all. To me the only surprise in the race was that Always Dreaming dropped anchor so badly. I thought Classic Empire was too short at 2/1, but I made the mistake of betting him anyway. I thought he was gonna get there. The usually sleepy Leparoux moved him just a little too soon.
You'll get one more chance with Classic Empire in the Belmont. He would have to be the favorite there, even if Cloud Computing enters.
Congrats to Chad Brown. Hope he runs Practical Joke in the Belmont, too.
I'm not chasing Classic Empire. He was too short in Baltimore and I foolishly bet him anyway. We'll see what the odds look like when the day comes.
Practical Joke is more likely to go in the Woody Stephens. Or the Easy Goer if Brown wants to get an easy spot. Also, he said the other day that Cloud Computing "doesn't feel like a mile-and-a-half horse." I don't know what he means since the colt relished 9.5 furlongs and his pedigree suggests he can run all day. I expect Cloud Computing to go in the Belmont.
