* The big news is that Smooth air might not run. He spiked a fever before his scheduled work and is being treated with antibiotics. If he's not right, the trainer has stated he will not run the horse.

* Monba and Cowboy Cal worked yesterday for Pletcher. Both worked at Keeneland. Monba breezed five furlongs in 1:02 2/5 while Cowboy Cal went out five furlongs in a good 1:00. The other Pletcher trainee, Behindatthebar is still undecided if he will run after galloping a mile and a sixteenth yesterday. A decision will be made early this week.

*Trainer Paula Lobo and jockey Mike Smith flew into Louisville to work out Gayego. He worked five furlongs in 1:01 over a muddy track.

*Recapturetheglory breezed five furlongs in 1:01 1/5 at Churchill Downs Friday. He was scheduled to go Saturday originally but they wanted it over a fast track.

I'm crossing all the Keeneland winners off my list (Cowboy Cal, Monba, Behindthebar) as I don't think any of them have enough.

I'd caution against crossing Behindatthebar off your list. He won from way off the pace in the Lexington and his first dirt start wasn't that horrible. He's made a move forward in terms of speed and looks like he could run all day.
