I'm in Vegas for a short two-day respite. Staying at the new Palazzo. Very nice place. Not sure it's in Bellagio's class overall, but the suites are pretty comparable. I have been too busy lately to pay daily attention to hockey, bases and even the NBA. So if anybody has anything good for Thurs, Fri or Saturday, let me know. Maybe one of our hockey guys has an opinion on Pens-Flyers. Or NBA or bases. Whatever will ring the cash register. Thanks.

I think most people are looking for a rebound effort from the Spurs, but the NO +7 number is looking mighty attractive.

1st half under 92 1/2 in that game looks good as well. I, too, agree with taking the points.

Coast, just walk in and throw all your money on the floor. ;-)

And I like Spurs/NO under 183

Texas run line (-140 ) looks interesting too with their most effective starter coming back from DL. The downside is that their best starter was just on DL

If you have time Coast, and are looking at NFL prop bets, can you please find the odds on Matt Forte winning the Rookie of the year? I think that might be a good value bet.

Don't know if they'll even have that prop available. I think the NFL gives a defensive and offensive rookie of the year.

I haven't seen that one yet, Beardown, but here at the Palazzo/Venetian book, they have these Bears-related bets. Never too early for NFL bets, eh?

Over/under season wins: 7.5, -150 over/+120 under
Most rushing yards in NFL: Cedric Benson 65-1
Most Passing yards in NFL: Rex Grossman 100-1, Kyle Orton 250-1
Odds to win the Super Bowl: Bears 28-1
Odds to win the NFC: Bears 10-1
Odds to make the playoffs: Bears Yes +160, No -190
Odds to win the NFC North:
Packers 8-5
Vikings 3-2
Bears 5-2
Lions 6-1

Week 1 NFL Lines:
Giants -5 vs. Redskins
Bengals -1 at Ravens
Jets -2.5 at Dolphins
Patriots -15.5 vs. Chiefs
Steelers -7 vs. Texans
Jaguars -2.5 at Titans
Falcons pick vs. Lions
Bills -1 vs. Seahawks
Saints -4.5 vs. Buccaneers
Eagles -4.5 vs. Rams
Cowboys -3 at Browns
Chargers -7.5 vs. Panthers
Cardinals -2.5 at 49ers
Colts -8 vs. Bears
Packers -3 vs. Vikings
Broncos -2.5 at Oakland

Thanks for the info on the spreads Coast. I can't imagine big favorites on the road have fared especially well in Week 1.

Take the under on season wins. The line will have two new tackles and most likely a new guard. The running game will have a new RB. The passing game will have all new WR. Even if they are eventually good, it is going to take them a while to play together.
